L'Hirondelle Self Catering Guest House

We stayed on the top floor in the two-bedroom apartment. Brilliant quality accommodation. Spacious with nice décor and high quality furnishings. Really comfortable. You get a bit of noise from the village but it never seemed to go late and it didn’t bother us. We also didn’t find an issue with the road as I read in a couple of reviews. Welcoming staff and nice friendly security guy. Welcome drinks and cold flannels in the fridge for our arrival which was a nice touch. This is a great place to stay on Praslin. Nowhere on Praslin is very big, that’s its charm, but Anse Volbert has a decent size village with a fair few shops and places to stay. This is just a few mins walk from L’hirondelle. We really liked Les Lauriers for dinner and Le Mer takeaway.

A very beautiful apartment which a well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed our stay and really like the staff at this place. Everyone is wonderful and we felt very welcome. For 25 euros , someone at the hotel did the laundry for us. The hotel is located across from the cote d or beach. There is a very nice balcony and the AC was working very well. We bought groceries at one of the two nearby markets and cooked dinner every night. We would go back. Thanks for everything

Really well functioning guest house. Super practical with the kitchen, fridge, freezer etc. We had a room with a good size balcony overlooking the beach and the sea, and it was wonderful and shady all day. Staff is really nice, although we were a bit overwhelmed when they came in and actually cooked the breakfast we had ordered 😉 It is very easy to rent a car - just ask in the reception. On a few occasions there was no hot water, uncertain why - We went on a boat tour as recommended by the hotel, but we could not go everywhere promised due to the season, and they should have told us that beforehand, as they never go snorkeling at Île St Pierre at this time of year. Hotel should have let us know beforehand! Thus, 4 instead of 5 TripAdvisor stars for withholding that information!

We had a wonderful stay at L'Hirondelle. The apartment was perfect, the location was fantastic, and the service was second to none. We highly recommend L'Hirondelle.

Wonderful stay Right from the start, I felt at home at the L‘Hirondelle. The room was very clean and decorated with style and love to details. We were in a Garden Room with still a good view to the sea which I requested and appreciate a lot. The staff, including owner, cleaning ladies and night security guard were all extremely friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic as well. Right over the street you find shady places on the beach. 5-10 minutes walk to restaurants, take- aways and supermarkets. Try all the exotic fruits from the fruit stands!

I had a really comfortable stay here, veranda is spacious where the sea view is fantastic (rm 7), apartment is a good size and really clean. There’s a security guard at night. Theres a lot of attention to detail like providing oil, salt and tea/coffee, which many self catering places don't but makes a big difference! Also things like providing wet towels on arrival (to cool yourself in the heat) and an umbrella in the room. There’s parking on the property, they arranged car hire for me. The location is perfect! 5 mins from the jetty, well placed to explore the island, there’s a bus stop just outside and it’s opposite one of the best beaches on the island (in that season). Also its a minute from the village but far enough from hubbub of the village. They provide beach towels and there’s plenty of tree cover. Disliked · The proprietor wasn't my fav person I met in Seychelles, professional and friendly but I found her manner a bit stern. Maggi is awesome, she helped me out with an issue. Their taxi driver Robert charged me just under £20 for the 5 min journey from the jetty, I managed to get a return taxi for cheaper. You can get the bus to and from the jetty but not sure if you can take luggage on it
