Club Med Pragelato Vialattea

Worst club med possible. Should we have only known. The staff is excellent, and the main restaurant heavenly. But, from ski point of view, the location is awful, it takes more than an hour to reach the good pistes of sestriere. And it gets worse. The club med is not ski in ski out, by a stretch it can be called ski in. Leaving is only via gondola, and return is via the same gondola, or if one missed the last one, via a narrow icy red slope which is often closed. It gets even worse, if possible. The rooms are cabins, so any movement requires to dress for snow, which is extremely annoying, and not what we wanted in a relaxing apres ski time. To top it off the spa is disappointing with cold pool and jakuzi. Better spend our hard earned money elsewhere. Last year we were in club med tignes and it was amazing, we enjoyed every minute of it.

Nice ski resort with comfortable rooms/cabins. Very good food at the main buffet-restaurant but disappointing at the two especially restaurants. Cheaper than other Club Med resorts at the French Alps and only 1.5h from Turin, which is a very nice city to visit. Can be busy especially when ordering drinks at the bar in the evening and hard to find a place to sit if not arriving early enough. If I would go again =＞ yes

My first experience of Club Med. The excellent things (superb ski guide Ime, lovely room and great food) easily outweighed the less good (irritating delay at the airport, dreadful check in experience, rather cramped bar and resort skiing far too busy on Saturday to enjoy skiing)

Club Med is very good. Quite varied food. Great option for those who want to go with a young person, as they have night parties. The staff is also very attentive and very warm. The boys who work there were great, like Rodolfo and others. It's really worth getting to know club med.

Probably best value for people who want to drink lots, be ski guided or are learning. Positives: Buffet had a great selection and some yummy dishes. Great water pressure. Nice shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Option to ski in groups and meet people. Negatives: Noisy, hectic buffet restaurants. Speciality restaurants were a let down. Staff eating & drinking in uniform at same time as customers in Resturant. Staff didn’t always give the correct information. Ideas: staff to eat and drink in a separate area. Have one way traffic in areas to reduce how hectic and disorganized things can feel in the buffet area and reduce risk of spilages. Make app and website reflect each other and have consistent information, and ensure what you say you do/offer is actually done. Have written info about the resort and whats available in the rooms- many people don’t want to have to be using apps on holiday and the welcome meetings only suit those that arrive on certain days and was long and drawn out. Have non alcoholic beer/ gin/ Wine options. Include sauna and steam in the ‘all inclusive’ price. Offering a closer on piste option as part of the all inclusive would be preferable. Staff to give consistent correct advice. Some more quieter areas to relax after dinner with music would be nice. Have UHT milk in the rooms and the larger mugs. Have somewhere to hangs coats etc at meal times to de clog the restaurant (because your rooms are not connected to the main building you all wear outdoor clothes to get to the Resturant).

The Club Met itself is pretty good. Take it easy on the oysters but overall a superb experience. Truly all inclusive since one can have an on mountain lunch with wine all inclusive of the meals as well. Five days of ski instruction was also included. It is that were we got truly lucky. Luca is an accomplished skier but it is just a backdrop to quality of instruction that he provides. He is genuinely interested in improving each and everyone and he knows how to do it. It is equally important that his English allows him to accomplish that. You will also have the best time ever. If I ever go back I will go out of my way requesting Luca as an instructor in advance. The terrain definitely warrants a return trip. We did not get lucky with snow but that's even more of a reason.
