This Club Med is in a special location, the facilities beautiful and meticulously maintained. Umberto (Level 5) is one of the best ski instructors I have had anywhere in the world. No matter the weather, he brought us to the best conditions and incredible experiences. Rooms can be small and outdated. We had to pay a fee to upgrade to something NOT dark and tight with only a bed in it. IF you have any needs for the room, Alfredo delivers them in MINUTES- fastest service of any 5 star hotel I’ve stayed in. The bar and restaurant staff is friendly and accomodating, but their lack of English proficiencies causes some unnecessary frustrations and lack of service from an otherwise proficient staff. HOWEVER— if you have any minor, simple issues that need to get resolved, as we did with the room upgrade, glitches with online spa ressies (2 different people from the same room could not make ressies scheduled for the same time, which we were trying to do on Valentine’s day and mid week to coordinate our schedules), and returns at the boutique, these minor issues took HOURS of our time and elevation of the issues all the way up to the Hotel Director, Antonio. Antonio is VERY kind and responsive, but NINE DAYS LATER AFTER OUR TRIP WAS OVER has yet to resolve refunding us money for the returns made, address the refund for the repairs not made to the room we upgraded to, or offered any compensation for the spa continually cancelling our appointments/rescheduling us when we specifically said we could NOT be there, messing up our schedules. PLEASE NOTE ANTONIO IS KIND AND SPENT TIME TO MEET, APOLOGIZE, AND PROMISE TO CORRECT THE ERRORS AND REIMBURSEMENT, but nothing was resolved before we left, and now I call and write multiple times a day for NINE days in a row and it is STILL not done. Frustrating AF, especially for someone who loves Club Med, is a loyal customer, loved the resort and the location, the magic of the individual villas, the activities and our ski instructor Umberto, the INCREDIBLE terrain and ski options. Club Med took our money instantly in advance for services that were then not delivered as promised, and we have to fight to get back the thousands they owe us, only stating “don’t worry. it’s coming.” NINE days after departure? Unprofessional and insulting. We are Hoping maybe this honest review will get the attention and get it resolved right away. Hopefully it will also fix the issues so others do NOT have them!
