Because the hotel was quite full, we were placed in a handicapped accessible room, which was fine, except: Light switches next to the bed were very high, and difficult to reach the switches once in bed. Can't imagine trying to do this if one were handicapped. Overall the lighting in the room was inadequate. An addition of some kind of overhead lighting, or better, a floor lamp, would improve that. The shower was not walk in but rather had a tub, and the controls were difficult to figure out and the knobs difficult to turn. The faucet was beautiful but had knobs, rather than levers, and a handicapped accessible bathroom should have levers; as it was it was difficult for us to turn the knobs (and they were mounted the wrong way). On the positive side, the decor was nice and the bed was comfortable.
