Mirachoro Praia da Rocha

Super séjour avec un très bon accueil et des chambres vraiment agréables à vivre

I stayed here with my 2 sons from 16th - 23rd July, self catering. We had the most amazing time. The room was equipped with everything we needed, the only fault I could find is the mattress was hard on the bed in the bedroom (I didn't bother mentioning it though as I was fine) and the toilet dripped slightly at the back when flushed, but again I didn't report it, as the cleaners came every day. The balcony was huge and we got the sun all afternoon, though the curtains were perfect at keeping it out of the room. The air con worked perfectly in the living room and cooled the bedroom if door was left open. We were on the 4th floor, but there were lifts, which were small but worked great. The pool area was great, was usually able to get 3 beds at any time of day, except on 2 occasions. The staff on reception and in the bar were amazing, always friendly and helpful and the snack food in the bar was great. It was about a 15 minute walk down to the beach along a busy road, but the footpaths were great and cars stop for pedestrians to cross at the crossings. There were plenty of restaurants, bars and shops once there and the beach was beautiful. Walking in the opposite direction of the beach, about 10-15 minutes, there was mcdonalds and Lidl, very handy for self catering folks. Uber was very cheap to and from the beach or harbour, usually about 5 euros, the drivers we had were all lovely too. All in all we had an amazing holiday and would gladly recommend the hotel, praia da rocha and portimao to anyone.

I can't understand why this hotel is only 2* it should be at least 3* without a doubt. I stayed in the first block which housed the main reception area. I was on the 4th floor. My apartment was immaculate and impressive for self catering. The hotel staff were so helpful, very polite and very very courteous. Valentina whom I dealt with the most in the bar was such a delight, she taught me basic portuguese which came in handy on my visits to the centre of praia de rocha and Portameo. The hotel offers a free shuttle to both the beach and Portameo which takes 10mins and also a free return. Praia is full of shops and places to eat or a pub for lunch. As for the cleaning staff my room was checked every day and if I used a set of towels in the morning they had been replaced when I went back in the early evening. As well as the pool area there is also a garden to either sit at a table or eat under the shade. There are also sun loungers by the pool and around the garden area plus the jacuzzi is a must. Pools and garden were cleared and cleaned early every morning. Food catered to simple tastes but was cooked fresh on demand. There was also a little restaurant just behind the hotel which offered a larger choice a d again was cooked from fresh and they also did daily specials. If you need a supermarket all you bzve to do is turn right at the main road as you come out of the hotel and just follow the road all the way round and you'll pass a BP garage and then when you keep going youll see a huge supermarket with 2 floors called the Continete. I would advise a taxi or uber back with your shopping. I paid €3.50 for a trip back to hotel the taxis can be a little bit extra. I've stayed in gran canaries in all inclusive and their bungalows were filthy and not a patch on the Mirachoro. I enjoyed myself so much I've booked to go back in November again through Jet2. I've managed hotels until my retirement and this is at the top of the list for self catering. Well done to all the staff for making my stay so enjoyable 10/10 from me

We will definitely be booking another stay here ,it’s a Beautiful place to stay ,the apartment was clean & spacious,the restaurant food is basic but tasty & the pool area is well maintained ,the staff were polite & very helpful . Local to Praia de rocha & Portimão so plenty of things to do

Requested a ground floor room and was given one on the 7th floor! Studio room was not a bad size but the balcony was tiny and wasn’t clean when we arrived and didn’t get cleaned the whole 10 nights we were there. Basic room cleaning mostly making the bed and emptying the bins. Bathroom mirror wasn’t cleaned the whole time we were there and floors felt dirty. One tea towel for the whole 10 days! Friendly staff,nice sun loungers,pool small but adequate. Bar prices were reasonable.Prais da Rocha is lovely but wouldn’t stay here again due to distance from bars,restaurants etc. Wi-Fi hit and miss. Courtesy bus to beach area and Portimao a bonus

Hotel excellent, staff wonderful this is my fourth visit this year ,l love this hotel ,its location is wonderful near supermarkets ,shopping centre and there is a hotel bus that takes you to the beach and Portimio twice aday ,in Portimio there are large Chinese shops that stock everything should you have forgot anything,
