The Grand Hotel

We had our wedding here on Saturday, everything was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff involved, food was excellent and the room was done beautifully. No complaints for us at all. They kept us upto date at all times and the room we had with the package was amazing. We would highly recommend to everyone who's thinking of having your special day here. We had the full day so they had to change the room over for the wedding breakfast, everything they done on our day they all just went upbove and beyond for us. Thanks again to all the staff at the Grand Hotel lots of love from the newly weds Mr & Mrs Davies 😀

We held our mums wake at The Grand Hotel and Chris the manager couldn't do enough for us. The buffet was stunning with plenty of food. The room was a lovely size for the amount of people who came. I would highly recommend the Grand Hotel for a function.

This review is about the function room. I have been there twice in the last few weeks, once for a wedding and once for after a funeral. The function room is perfect. Nicely decorated and looks fresh. Plenty of seating. The buffet was lovely on both occasions. The staff were helpful and friendly. Parking is easy too. I would definitely use the function room for family events in the future.

Excellent food & service. We visited the hotel for a party held in the function room, the room was beautifully decorated and it led onto an outdoor terrace perfect with the westher we had. Nothing was too much trouble, staff were great and so was the buffer selection

Recenty arranged a funeral at the grand hotel. From start to finish the service was amazing. The staff were so accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. The buffet was beautiful and great value for money. I will use the venue for future events for sure. Thanks to all the staff who made a difficult day trouble free and couldn’t do enough for us. My daughter is turning 18 next year and we Will be using the venue for future family celebrations.

My review is really not about a stay at the hotel it is about our experience when we booked a function at the hotel. From the time we made the enquiry until we left the function the staff were there. Excellent customer service from Chris and his staff. The room was amazing and the buffet was fantastic, I cannot recommend it enough. The food was over and above what we could have imagined! Honestly our guests were so impressed with the quality and variety offered. Also we were able to access the room before hand to decorate the room the way we wanted it, nothing was too much trouble. Although I didn’t stay at the hotel there were quite a few of our guests who did and they all said the same thing that the rooms and staff were excellent. I would definitely recommend The Grand Hotel to anyone looking for a place to hold a function it was just perfect! Only criticism was that it was a christening and there were no baby changing facilities, this is something that can be sorted I’m sure!
