Sunny Motel Port Elgin

I stayed here in early June 2023, but July 2024 was the earliest option available in the drop down option. In summary, keep on driving... if it doesn't rain, you'll get about the same experience sleeping in a ditch in the summer, without clean sheets... Driving north from the Goderich direction at the time, and I pulled in to take a look at the property. As I was turning around, a lady came running out (I thought she was going to yell at me for turning around in the parking lot). It turns out she was asking if I was going to stay... I asked how much, and she said $80.00 (if I remember correctly). I was just looking for a place to sleep, $80 was a very reasonable rate (having worked in the hotel industry for several years). So I accepted her offer, and took the room. This was the start of my travelling Canada looking for a new property to buy/retire to. The bed was clean, and the TV was there, so apart from a shower, that was all I was looking for. Then, I went to use the toilet. There was a sign, don't flush toilet paper... hmm. Red flags started to go up. So I timed by constitutional with my shower to accommodate (ex-military, so you work with what you have). Night was not bad, however, in the morning, there were at least 5-7 greeblies (don't know what bug it was - like a mealy bug - but not) crawling happily on the floor. Finished up my ablutions for the morning and hit the road north. It was a day later I noticed that my credit card started to receive charges that made no sense. My personal info on my credit card had been breached. I reported this to my bank - and advised where the problem started. You have been honestly warned...

Granddaughter and i shared a room She is seven we had enough room for the two of us ..... very comfy and clean rooms

Decent motel Although the room was small, the room was sufficient and bed was reasonably comfortable.
