Stayed here for 3 nights and You must stay here at Nicobari cottage. The view is amazing. Large open balcony to sit out in morning and evenings, enjoy looking at the ships sailing to and from Port Blair harbor. One must stay in Nicobari Or the bamboo cottage you will have an experience of a life time

Beautiful location, average rooms, good restaurant with limited options. No travel desk.. sea view roo.s with AC, Room service is available. Very close to all the tourist spots of port blair.Staff was very courteous. They call for cab. Wifi option is there but Airtel works good. Onecan enjoy breakfast in garden facing sea

Megapod Resort in Port Blair is an absolute disgrace! Don't be fooled by the scenic view; this place is a nightmare. The buffet? Disgusting. The maintenance? Non-existent. Everywhere you look, there's dust, dirt, and mold creeping in. And the bed sheets and pillows? Stained beyond belief. After enduring just 30 minutes of this horror show, we had to bail. But did they care? Nope. They shoved us into another room with a broken AC and no power backup, leaving us sweltering in the heat most of the time. And as if that wasn't bad enough, they had the nerve to charge us extra for breakfast, even though it was included in the package. To top it all off, they refused to refund us because we booked through Agoda. Avoid this place like the plague unless you enjoy throwing your money away on misery.

Plus- - Rooms are better compared to other Govt properties in the Adamans. - The taste of the food is good. - Room service is prompt. Minus- - No wifi in the rooms. - The breakfast spread is average both in terms of taste and quantity. - There was a mouse in one of the rooms. The front desk did not give a new room or any compensation for the same. The night manager was extremely unhelpful. - There was a private party in their restaurant. So there was no dinner service available. We were forced to eat in our rooms which did not have adequate seating arrangements for our entire group.

Wonderful place to stay. Coast of the bay with a beautiful view. Ask for the room looking at the bay. You can see beautiful scenery whole day. Nearer to Airport and Cellular Jail. Nearer to Jetty with boat playing to North Bay and Netaji Subhas Ch Bose Island. Minimum amenities. Dont expect the washroom as you get in good hotels of Mainland. Well maintained. Well behaved staff. Good sea food with limited varieties in Breakfast and other meals. Overall wonderful place.

On our way back from Havelock , we had to stay overnight at Port Blair , so wanted to book a simple hotel for a night's stay . But it was a real surprise to find such a lovely place that too at a decent price . Beautiful location ( it's on a cliff top , over looking the sea ) . Easily accessible ( Rs 200-300 by cab ) to Jetty & Airport . Very well maintained rooms , clean linen and pleasant staff .

Despite being a govt. operated resort, this was very well managed and operated resort. We stayed in deluxe rooms and Nicobari cottage (nice sunrise view over the harbor) and can recommend both based on your budget. The location is good from the point of view of catching morning ferry to exotic islands that Andaman offers but please keep in mind that this location is a bit away from the market areas. So if you plan to roam around the city, you won't find much in it's vicinity. But if you are willing to call a cab, those places are 5/10 mins drive away. Coming to staff, I can only say good words. They are courteous, well behaved and overall provide you exemplary service for extremely satisfying stay. On our request, they left one staff looking after my mom while we were getting treatment for our baby in hospital. That was very nice of them and I can not praise them high enough. Highly highly recommend!!

I have not stayed such a third class , pathetic and disgusting hotel in my life. Its a honest review. May be I am harsh, this is reality. Please don't ruin your holidays by booking in this hotel. I think roadside hotels are better than this. I know this review will not make any difference people will say its your personal opinions what else we have to do???. Its true bit don't ruin your vacations. Nothing and nothing is good here. Taking the banner of government hotel and have a large space doesn't make a nice stay. Nothing and once again nothing is good here. Best of luck.

We stayed in Megapode during our recent visit to Andaman. We stayed in Nicobari Cottage. It was very good stay. Location : very good, from cottages, one can see sunrise from the porch. Amazing view Value for money: bit costly, but worth trying for the view and spacious room. Easily 3 -4 people can fit in. Food : very good, must try here! Service : very good. If you want to check out early, do not forget to mention reg packed breakfast previous night.
