Finca Son Jorbo - Adults Only

I recently stayed at Finca Son Jorbo with a friend in the "Mar" apartment. The location of the finca is perfect. Situated 5 minutes driving or 20 minutes walking outside the village of Porreres means that you're totally secluded but also have easy access to everything you need. Although the finca is not coastal, I found myself visiting more beaches and coves than I usually do when visiting Mallorca, because there were so many that I could reach in just 20 minutes by car. The finca has free parking for guests and renting a car is definitely the way to go when visiting Mallorca if you want to see all that island has to offer. Returning to the finca each evening after a full day of exploring was always a treat. The location is also easy accessible from the airport. The grounds are beautiful and feel more like a home than a hotel. The gardens are filled with beautiful flowering plants. The 300 olive trees on the grounds are a Spanish dream. The apartment we rented was clean, had everything we needed (bathroom towels, beach towels, body wash, a fully functional kitchenette) and a few things we didn't NEED, but loved (a locally woven beach tote, a canvas hammock). The pool is beautiful and sunny all day long, but we didn't spend much time there is so much to do in the surrounding towns and coast nearby the finca. The hosts, Tina and Markus, are excellent. The attention and care that they bring to each and every interaction with guests was so welcoming. The breakfast that they prepare each morning is amazing: homemade jams; local fruits, vegetables, and cheeses; and freshly-squeezed OJ. They were also proactive about giving us recommendations about the best things to do and see on the island. I also loved that Tina and Markus featured the products of businesses and local artists, like Mallorcan wines and handmade ceramics, for sale in the common spaces. I loved my stay here and am already dreaming about the next time I'll be able to go! We just loved this place. Hesitant of course to tell everyone about this gem but it would not be fair on Tina and Markus to give them anything other than top marks for facilitating such a wonderful atmosphere in their beautiful finca. We loved it because we had the privacy of a very tastefully decorated self catering apartment and yet we had interaction and struck up friendships with fellow holiday makers over breakfast. Other things we loved about it was the surrounding countryside, great place to listen to bird life (nightingales, scops owls, night jars). Very peaceful and absolutely super hosts.

What a wonderful place this is! Here's just some of the best bits: 1. Amazing hosts - Tina and Markus are very helpful, efficient and friendly without getting in the way of your holiday experience. 2. The finca itself is gorgeous - nicely decorated but without being overdone, lovely pool, lovely grounds and garden, great spaces to eat breakfast too and plenty of parking. 3. Breakfast - we could have eaten and eaten and eaten it all day! Homemade yogurts, cold meats, cheeses, homemade jams, croissants, pastries (local), bread rolls, butter, fresh coffee and juice plus your choice of freshly prepared eggs too. There was even a birthday cake for one of the other guests too, which was a lovely touch. 4. Beds - simple the most comfortable and high quality mattress with topper and pillows I've ever slept on. 5. Honesty bar for drinks and plenty of books and games to borrow too. 6. Tina and Markus lent us a bluetooth speaker, as I'd forgotten mine - I like to relax with music everyday. We had mixed weather on our short trip, but with a car, you can easily get out and about. For dinner, we ate at L'Escrivania in Porrers three times - it's that good. And yes, Tina and Markus has a very big dog, Barney, but he's mostly to be found in their private space, and isn't noisy either. And we liked Gizmo the cat too! The best thing about this finca, on top of the hospitality, is we were treated like friends, not paying guests and as it's a small finca, it feels cosy, homely, and just what we love when we're kicking back from our busy lives. Such a great place - highly recommended indeed.

Finca Son Jorbo is a calm place, very well located in the center of Mallorca. Es Trenc beach is 20 minutes drive, Tramuntana and Palma 40 minutes. Markus & Tina are very kind and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, everything was there (fruits/eggs/saucage/variety of bread/yoghurt). Great clean and spacious appartments, provided with everything you need. Also we liked the combination of different nationalities; English and German guests (we are Dutch). A place we will likely book again.

My wife and I stayed at Son Jorbo while doing some historical research and writing in Porreras. The apartment was spacious, spotless, and lovely. It had all the amenities one needs including a fully equiped kitchenette. The grounds are beautiful and we took several nice walks around the area. Tina and Marcus were outstanding and passionate about making people feel welcome: they were warm, engaging and extremely helpful. Breakfast on the patio was idyllic every morning and Tina and Marcus made constant efforts to make everyone's stay enjoyable. We will definitely stay there again in the future. Who knows...maybe there will even be a paddle court by our next time there :)

Wir durften einige wundervolle Tage in der Finca Son Jorbo verbringen – und was sollen wir sagen: Es war einfach überragend! Von der ersten Minute an haben wir uns willkommen, wohl und rundum gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Die familiäre Atmosphäre ist unvergleichlich. Die Finca wird von einem unglaublich herzlichen und sympathischen Ehepaar geführt, das mit viel Liebe zum Detail und echter Gastfreundschaft für ein unvergleichliches Urlaubserlebnis sorgt. Man merkt sofort, wie viel Herzblut hier drin steckt – jeder Wunsch wird einem quasi von den Augen abgelesen. Die Unterkunft selbst ist ein Traum: Die Zimmer sind nicht nur extrem sauber, sondern auch liebevoll und hochwertig eingerichtet, mit allem, was man sich nur wünschen kann. Es fehlt wirklich an nichts – man fühlt sich wie zu Hause, nur schöner! Dazu kommt: Die Zimmer sind riesig – man hat extrem viel Platz zum Wohlfühlen und Entspannen. Hier wurde wirklich an alles gedacht. Besonders erwähnenswert: Die Finca befindet sich noch in ihrem ursprünglichen, traditionellen Zustand, so wie man sich eine echte mallorquinische Finca vorstellt – authentisch, charmant und dennoch absolut top gepflegt und in perfektem Zustand. Dieses Zusammenspiel aus Historie, Charme und Komfort macht den Aufenthalt hier besonders einzigartig. Die Lage der Finca ist einfach perfekt: Zentral auf der Insel gelegen, sodass man alle Highlights Mallorcas wunderbar erreichen kann – sei es ein Ausflug in die Berge, ein Bummel durch kleine Dörfer oder ein entspannter Tag an einem der vielen Traumstrände, die nur wenige Autominuten entfernt sind. Wer Mallorca wirklich entdecken will, ist hier goldrichtig! Ein weiteres Highlight ist der wunderschöne Poolbereich: Ein großer, perfekt sauberer Pool lädt zum Erfrischen und Relaxen ein. Rundherum gibt es tolle Liegemöglichkeiten in absoluter Ruhe – ideal zum Sonnenbaden, Lesen oder einfach zum Abschalten mit Blick ins Grüne. Auch das Frühstück war für uns ein tägliches Highlight: Individuell auf die Wünsche der Gäste abgestimmt, mit viel Liebe zubereitet – einfach himmlisch! Dazu gibt es eine wunderschöne Bar, die rund um die Uhr zugänglich ist und wirklich alles bietet, was das Herz begehrt: kalte Getränke, Eis, Wein, Snacks – und das zu sehr fairen Preisen! Ein weiteres tolles Detail: Die Finca stellt kostenlos Strandausrüstung wie Sonnenschirme, Kühlboxen, Strandstühle etc. zur Verfügung – das spart nicht nur Platz im Koffer, sondern ist auch unglaublich praktisch. Auch tierliebe Gäste kommen auf ihre Kosten: Auf dem Gelände leben ein lieber, ruhiger Hund und eine süße Katze, die sich aber sehr zurückhalten. Wer keine Nähe zu Tieren möchte, wird hier keineswegs gestört – aber wer Tiere liebt, wird sie sofort ins Herz schließen. Fazit: Wir würden – und werden – jederzeit wieder buchen! Die Finca Son Jorbo ist ein Geheimtipp, den man eigentlich am liebsten für sich behalten möchte. Wer einmal hier war, versteht, warum so viele Gäste immer wieder zurückkehren. Ein Ort zum Entspan
