The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive—nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, offering stunning views of the lush pine forest and sparkling Adriatic Sea. The food? Simply outstanding—fresh, diverse, and delicious at every meal. The pool area was pristine, with plenty of loungers and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxation. And the location couldn’t be better: a short stroll to the beach and close to charming old town Poreč. This hotel blends comfort, style, and genuine hospitality into a perfect getaway. Can’t wait to return!

This is an excellent hotel in a beautiful location. Firstly, be careful if you book with Thomas Cook because they use a third party airline TUI and your baggage allowance is only two cases which fit in overhead lockers, so you must pay extra for 1/2 20kg cases. also, you have to pay for your own transport from Pula airport to this hotel, about Euro 140.00 each way. This hotel is highly recommended if you have children, there is much for them to do at the hotel and also in the surrounding area as you walk into the town. The food is good. Breakfast is well laid out and there is a very good choice. The Brunch from 11.00 to 13.00 is also very good. The evening meals are of the same quality and selection is by buffet as are the rest of the meals here, you serve yourself. Beware though, the restaurant can get very crowded when it opens at 19.00 and it may take some time as you have to queue up behind as many as to 20 people before you can chose your meal. It would probably be more civilised if the hotel had two sittings, one at 19.00 and one at 20.00. Our room was classed as superior but it was far from that. It was in fact very small. In comparison to a Premier Inn room back in the UK, Premier Inn rooms are far bigger. Maybe we just happened on a very small room in this hotel. The cleaning of the room is daily if that's what you want and is excellent. Fresh towels every day. The staff on the reception desk are also very helpful.

It was a beautiful experience, friendly and very helpful staff, clean rooms and everything was superlative. The hotel is in good location, close to the see. Very good for the children with a lot of activities. The food was many choices and tasty.

Our stay at Sunny by Valamar in Poreč was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by warm, professional staff who made sure every part of our stay was perfect. The hotel has a fantastic location – surrounded by nature, just a short walk from the crystal-clear sea, and close to the charming old town of Poreč. The rooms were spotless, modern, and very comfortable, offering everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The air conditioning worked well, the beds were cozy, and the balcony provided lovely views. The food was another highlight. The breakfast and dinner buffets offered a great variety of fresh, tasty dishes with plenty of local flavors. There were healthy options and vegetarian choices as well, which we really appreciated. The pool and surrounding area were clean and well-maintained, with plenty of sunbeds. We also enjoyed the laid-back, stress-free atmosphere throughout the hotel – it’s the perfect place to unwind. Sunny by Valamar is ideal for couples, families, or solo travelers looking for comfort, value, and excellent service. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our return. Highly recommended!

We travelled with TUI, with our son, daughter-in-law and 2 year old granddaughter. We had a great time and spent a lot of time around the pool, which our granddaughter loved, as it is particularly suited to little ones. The staff were all very friendly and the food was okay, although we also took advantage of some of the nice restaurants in Porec, which was around a 20 mins walk away. There are regular tourist trains to Porec stopping near the hotel, but they were usually full. The week we stayed it was very warm and humid. Now in our mid-60s, it certainly took a while to adjust to the heat, but this should be expected in August! Our only real issue was the size of the 'superior twin room' and the amount of time it took to gain access to it. Our flight left Birmingham at 6.15am and we arrived at the hotel at around 10.30am after a two hour flight and a 45 minute taxi transfer. Our rooms were not ready and we finally unpacked at around 12.30pm. Not great when we had a very sleep deprived 2 year old with us. My wife and I were eventually allocated room 530, on the 5th floor, with a view overlooking the pool. On TUI's website, it is described as 'spacious'. Not so. The room is far too small to accommodate two standard single beds pushed together. A small double would probably be about right, at a push. As you can see from the photos, there is very little room between the end of the beds and the furniture/fridge. We were unable to fully open the fridge door. We bashed our knees against the frames of the end of the beds several times, which was quite painful. The bathroom is also very small and I didn't feel entirely safe climbing in and out of the bath for a shower. The balcony was also tiny. Not a big deal for some, as most of the time was spent away from the room, in the airconditioned lobby area and bar, or just 'out and about'. We even managed to squeeze in a day trip via catamaran to Venice, but more about that elsewhere. Our son and his family had a family room, 118, on the ground floor, and this was very spacious, althought they also mentioned the small bathroom. Once we got over the disappointment with our 5th floor room, the holiday was most enjoyable and we had a great time, overall. The hotel is spotless, the staff are great, the pool is fab and the location ideal.

Everything was great. The hotel's pool is salty, but the neighboring Valamar's pool was fresh water. The food is delicious, the gym is great. We had a great time. The air conditioning in the room was excellent, and the size of the room is suitable for 4 people.
