Hidden Paradise Guest House

if there was ever an appropriately named place this is it. views of mountain & lakes are out of this world. There is a very laid back feel to the whole place and you are welcomed with typical world class Nepali hospitality by Laxman & Pratiksha , your hosts. In the garden if you can take your eyes away from the mountains , there is a wash of colourful flower/plants inhabited by beautiful birds & butterfly's and just maybe hovering above are eagles. This is what Paradise is!!

We loved this lovely hidden gem in Pokhara. Our hosts: Laxman, his wife Pratiksha and adorable son Jason, were beyond wonderful! Though we stayed only a few days at Hidden Paradise we felt so much at home thanks to our more than welcoming hosts. We felt blessed to stay at Hidden Paradise to relax, unwind from the city life Pokhara, enjoy the view over Phewe Lake and the mountains, have the family atmosphere and great conversations with Laxman. Laxman arranged 1) our trekking in the mountains with very good & reliable & very kind guide and sherpa, 2) yoga morning, 3) Ayurvedic massage. Pratikesha cooks the loveliest meals in case you do not want to go to a restaurant but stay up on the hill. Laxman also took very good care when 1 of us fell ill and a few days later 1 of us returned earlier than expected from the trekking. The family is very caring for their guests. We can only highly recommend Hidden Paradise and will certainly return when we have to chance to visit Pokhara again.

I had a great stay at Hidden Paradise! The host family was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room was super comfortable and clean. They stored our bags while we went away trekking. I’d be happy to stay with them again! Thank you for the experience 🙏

Wonderful experience at this hidden paradise retreat. We wanted something quiet from the city and that's exactly what we found! The owners are true gems with big hearts. Nature surrounds the property, and you wake up to the song of birds. Amazing view of the mountains and Pokhara. Also, walking distance to the cable car and lakeside. Coffee and lassies were delicious. They also offered laundry service and kept our bags for us during our trek.

Loved the place! Food was simple and good. Prepared with great food, on the spot. Gentle and very friendly hosts. Great to stay for one or more night but i would recommend at least 3 to 4 nights. We stay 3 nights after I came back from 7 days in Lanbsang Valley for a hike. I needed a place to relax and recover my physical energy. Hosts are wonderful being. Curious and open hearted! Very welcoming. Price is very reasonable Just 15 min max walking distance from the center of Pokhara. Highly recommended to relax, recenter yourself! Lionel

I had a fantastic time staying at Hidden Paradise. The views are stunning, the surrounding area is lush & tranquil. The family running the guest house is very accommodating & kind hearted. If you are looking for some serenity and for a family that will that will take good care of you this is the place for you ♥️

Hidden Paradise is genuine expression of Nepali hostility. It oversees the breathtaking Lake Fewa. It is just far enough away from the hustle of Pokhara city life to be quiet, but close enough to be anyway within 15 minutes.. We are an American family traveling though Nepal with a 5 year old son and 5 month off daughter, and Hidden Paradise Guest House came recommended by friends who live locally in Pokhara. We did not want to be right in the city with the noise, pollution, late night partying, After a 5 minute hike up a trail, we were greeted by owners Laxman and Pratikshya. They made us tea and we immediately felt at home. Our son played in the yard with their son who is of similar age. They ran around the yard overlooking the lake and the city. The rooms are basic and clean. Much nicer than we expected as seasoned travelers who had been to India and Polynesia recently. The bathrooms are also basic, clean, and to western standards. Warm showers were always available, especially refreshing after a hike or trek. The electricity was consistent without any surges 24/7. Bottled water was provided and filtered water was also available. The WiFi was faster than expected, and I was able to make two work zoom calls without getting dropped, and our children were able to FaceTime with grandma. Most importantly, we always felt safe. Laxman helped us coordinate travel and day trips. He and his wife made breakfast and coffee/tea for us in the morning. Our son praises Laxman's honey pancakes, made with honey from his family beehive as "the best pancakes in the world" (review from 5 year old). And Laxman bounced our infant daughter while my wife and I ate breakfast (we would post photos but we keep photos of our children off social media). If you are looking for a Pokhara party - this is not your place. It is far enough away to be quiet but close enough that you can be at restaurants, bars, temples, and rendezvous for paragliding within 15 minutes. It is a genuine expression of Nepali hospitality. Our last night Laxman and Pratikshya made a delicious home cooked Dhal Bhat dinner while our families shared a meal looking over Lake Fewa sunset sharing stories.

We only stayed for one night as we were on a tight schedule. The room and facilities were immaculately clean. Admittedly it was a little tricky to find, (head towards the cable car station and turn right off that road partway up), but hidden paradise wasn't located where it was the views wouldn't be as spectacular. Perfectly situated for a sunrise cable car ride or an evening in the happy village or Sedi areas below the hotel and away from the hustle and bustle of lakeside while only being a short walk/bus ride into Lakeside itself. Disappointingly I neglected to take any pictures of the room itself as the view outside was more enticing, but our room was great too, clean as mentioned already, spacious with a huge, comfortable, 4 poster bed and ensuite bathroom with shower.

I lived in this place during my last visit to Pokhra and found it is a real paradise to live in Pokhra. The view of the lake, the peace & tranquility of the place coupled with friendly and caring hosts left wonderful impressions on my mind of this place.
