Gold Playa del Ingles - Adults Only

We had an excelled stay in a nice hotel with good service, a clean room and clean, well maintained surroundings. There are many good restaurants in walking distance in all directions. The hotel has very good breakfast. Fine outdoor areas and pools that we enjoyed in addition to walks on the beach.

Not impressed We were given room 401 south view which we paid more for. Our view overlooked the upper sundeck with a fence making it impossible to leave our curtains open. After complaining to the staff they informed me that was the room you paid for and the hotel is full. No sorry nothing The room is very very basic. The hotel has no soundproofing and is really really noisy. The Headboard which is corrugated plastic roofing which hurts your head. The kitchen lacks many items such as a draining board and tin opener. The TV switches off even when your watching it. The toilet is in such a tiny space you cannot close the door whilst on the toilet. The room is next to a bottle bank which is used 24hours a day and very very noisy. They also charge you 4 euro per day for the safe which is something hotels here dud many years ago and a complete rip off. We stayed here 7 year ago when it had a cheap Ikea make over and hated it then. Nothing has changed and we still hate it. I really don't know why it's got so many good reviews.

Stayed here with my partner in room 101, 19th - 26th September. After visiting Playa Del Ingles many times before we have always eyed up this hotel and we were so happy to be finally staying. The hotel has a gorgeous terrace on the front and as you step in to reception the chic boutique feel is carried through. Reception staff are fantastic and very very helpful. In the middle of the hotel there is a lovely atrium with a beautiful seating area that makes you feel like you’re in Miami! We were delighted to find out that we had been upgraded to a terrace room, having only booked a standard balcony room. Rooms were a fantastic size with the handy addition of a kitchenette and just as chic as the rest of the hotel. The terrace was a brilliant extra too! Our room being 101 meant we were right by the pool and all hotel facilities. We felt very lucky. The pool area is one of the best I’ve ever been to, chilled, chic, trendy and oozing with vibes - the perfect place to stay all day. There was a dj poolside one day which was brilliant and everyday the staff always came round free shots. During our stay the hotel hosted a staff social, which is where all guests were invited to meet and chat with the hotel manager and staff over free flowing cava and a live singer. Lovely touch and it really made you feel valued. Breakfast was a fantastic selection of meats cheeses, cooked options and pastries. Laura on the egg station is fabulous and will cook you scrambled, poached, fried as well as pancakes and waffles etc and they were always tasty. Oh there’s cava at breakfast too… Thank you gold for an outstanding week, we’re already looking at dates to come back!

What an amazing stay we had at the wonderfully kitsch, beautifully styled Gold by Marina. My partner and I both agree this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail in the decor and all the little touches made the place a wonderland that matched my personality to a tee. The staff here are excellent and go above and beyond to make you feel relaxed and welcome. The pool areas are relaxed with plenty of beds and clean, cool water perfect for cooling off on a hot day. The tropic area on the roof with jacuzzi and sauna was incredible and always got the sun, and again had plenty of space and beds. The whole hotel is incredibly clean and well kept. The food was delicious with big portions and the service fab. The room we stayed in was a standard double but it was spacious and luxurious and nothing felt standard about it. I would highly recommend this hotel for couples. It’s a short walk to the beach and has a supermarket next door and is just a stones throw from the Yumbo district. One of the nicest touches was the cocktail party thrown by the manager with nibbles and cava and all the staff taking time to chat and receive feedback. Thank you to all at Gold who made our stay so memorable and comfortable. It was worth every penny to stay here and we would definitely return.

From the time we walked through the door of the Gold by Marina we we're treated so respectively & kind.Front of desk staff were alway courtious &friendly.We were given a upgrade to the superior junior suite & it was amazing & spotless clean & quiet The swing on the balcony was an added bonus & sat in every night for relaxation.The bathroom had the most fabulous herbal soaps & conditioners & shower gel & again spotless clean with an amazing bath, thankyou for the bath bomb it was an added treat !! The beds were spacious & comfortable with the choice of pillow of your liking. Breakfast was on anothet level, everything that you colud think of was on the menue.My choice being an omelette with plenty of fillings & delicious fresh bread on the side. This hotel has been the best we have ever had the pleasure of staying in.Plenty of sunbathing beds around the pool area & a jacuzzi & sauna on the 4th floor. Also plenty of other restaurants near by to visit.Walking distance to the beach with amazing waves. 10/10 to Gold by Marina would recommend toeveryone.

Stayed here for a week and were thrilled with our experience. We arrived earlier than check-in and were greeted with a glass of prosecco. Breakfast is excellent and expensive. Well forth the price. Omelettes and other egg meals, pancakes, waffles, etc. are made to order every morning, with a range of fruits, pastries and bread. I was delighted with the pool. Small, but very chilled. Always loungers available. Special shout-out to the short haired lifeguard, who always worked tirelessly to keep the pool area spotlessly clean. Everyone was so polite and friendly. Highly recommended.
