HL Miraflor Suites Hotel

When we arrived there is no reception to this hotel. You have to check in at a hotel across the road. There is no communication from either hotel to suggest this. If it hadn’t had been for another couple suggesting we would have had no idea that we would have needed to check in at a different hotel. The lady on reception was very rude towards us considering we had only just arrived. We were given the key to our room and a map explaining where we would find our room. On arrival to our room I cannot say that we were overwhelmed with what we were seeing. The room was very dated and dusty. There were small bugs crawling on the floor and walls in the bathroom. The air conditioning did not work, we ended up trying to fix ourselves as it was now 23:00. We ended up sitting outside the room until about 2am as it was cooler outside than it was inside the room. We had been back to reception at the other hotel to explain this and were told there was nothing they could do until the morning and to come back after breakfast. After managing only a couple of hour sleep due to the heat we went for breakfast, breakfast was ok with an average buffet, nothing spectacular. When we went back to reception it was the same member of staff we saw during the night. Again there was nothing they could do to help. I asked about upgrading rooms and was told it would be another £360 ontop of what we had already paid. We could not spend another night in the same room so ended up paying for the upgrade. Again the reception staff were rude about us complaining even though they were getting more money from us. Throughout the rest of the week we had a better room (at cost) but the food didn’t differ much each day, all the fresh meat and fish on the grill was unseasoned and dry. There was nothing much different each day to the next. The all inclusive drinks aren’t that much to rave about if you like acidic wine or fizzy drinks. We had a few cocktails but there are only 3 on the menu to choose from. There was a member of the bar team who was also rude and seemed like we annoyed her by asking for drinks. Then the same member of staff would chat with other Spanish guests all happy and cheerful. If you are booking a room do not go for the bungalow/balcony option, choose the next room up from this. You’ll thank me later. We would probably not return to this hotel due to the service and attitudes of the staff working there.

The hotel was an amazing experience with great food and a great view, but what was the most special about this hotel was the entertainment team (Claudia and Nacho) who were absolutely incredible! We had so much fun with them as they made us feel welcomed and always had activities ready when we got bored. They made the experience at the hotel 10 times better and I could not have wished for better staff . They are the one of the main reasons I want to come back to this hotel next summer !!

Really comfortable bed, good food. i like always animation team because im boring in hotel with my family. and i join with animation yesterday i was in salsa class with Nathan and i know other animators nicolo and claudia . i recommend this hotel for the team animation

very poor maintained bungalows, old furniture and war hospital type beds with ripped sponge underlays, dust everywhere inside. Informed reception many times nothing was done to rectify this, cleaning staff are doing routine cleaning ( bathrooms, bed linens etc) but not instructed to do dust cleaning, Most staff not very helpful, not welcoming, arrogant and mediocre. Nice bungalows are mostly given to locals. We noted that Food not great and often same everyday. Shuttle to beach at inconvenient hours. no reception in main resort , need to check in and out in another hotel. most activities and entertainment are for adults to get people to buy drinks in evenings, kids are most of the time ignored , disco for kids pathetic and most of the time cancelled, children not really excited by it due to boring lady organizer. Agaim, ( entertainment man) was the best , very nice and work hard. Pools supposed to be heated till end of April but they are not. We definitely not recommend this resort and will definitely go somewhere else next time. Not worth the 4 stars. We tried to be patient for the sake of the kids.

First holiday as a couple and it was lovely. Apartment was an older one .. but couldn’t fault it room was clean, has what you needed. Air con was good and needed it being 5 months pregnant. Food is basic but there’s always something there for everyone. Entertainment staff = amazing 100% effort all the time despite the heat always want to get you involved. Had a great laugh with them. Especially the 2 males always had energy and seem to love what they do. Would happily come back.

Good apartments which is in a great central Location at an economical price Stayed in 2 different apartments. (3 people in a 2 bed room) and a couple in a studio. Studio room was a little dated, hit and miss with internet, but clean and tidy Two bed was spacious with a sliding door separating the rooms. Beds was comfortable and clean Pools was well maintained and clean Plenty of sun beds and towels for using Food was fresh, sometimes a little repetitive but not unexpected as most full board meals are similar. Entertainment was basic but good Overall, no complaints from us for such a low price paid
