Spring Hotel Vulcano

Lovely hotel at a very good location. Modern, nicely decorated for Christmas. Polite staff, good choice for breakfast and dinner. Christmas dinner was something out of this world( been to many hotels, but Xmas dinner now will be hard to match). Not sure if it is always like this but we were the youngest in the hotel(43&47)during the first part of holidays and only later some other younger people joined us. The average age was 60's 😁 This hotel is not orientated to children but for us it was perfect- no screaming and shouting and our girl had fun in the pool by Herself and her cousin🤣 I wanted to book Spring Hotel Bitacora at first but now I am thinking that I made an excellent choice . That said, I might try it out next time just because of the All nclusive service Bitacora provides. It was a nice quiet stay so if you expect something like Turkey, eith music around the pool, kids disco and shows, this hotel is not for you. We were half board and 4 days we ate at the pool bar and were never disappointed. Good food and reasonable prices. We didn't book UP option because we were with the kids( it's for 18+)but if I ever come without them- I will try it out! Pros: Very good location Modern hotel Heated pools( wheelchair friendly) Good food and service Cons: No shampoo in a room! It's a first for me 🙈 The tiles in the pool (mosaic) need replacement. My daughter filled probably half of the carrier bag from the bottom saw of the pool🤣 All in all- perfect stay and believe me, I am picky. It is one of the hotels I would recommend to my friends and family

Ideal situation close to a wide range of beaches, restaurants,bars and shops. Easy walking in both directions towards harbour or los Christianos. Excellent reception, quick check in and helpful, courteous team. Rooms modern, comfortable and housekeeping standards high. Would always book a pool view as those on hotel side had poor view from rooms. Pool area excellent. Plenty of beds (despite quite a few early morning towels going out), really peaceful, no music so listen to the birds ! Really impressed with access to all pools for guests with limited mobility. We had great option of access to balance terrace overlooking the main pool, enjoying infinity pool and complimentary beer and soft drinks. Beds do get snapped up from opening at 10.00 so be prepared to get in the 9.55 queues. With wide selection of nearby good restaurants we opted for bed and breakfast so can’t comment on dinner. Breakfast had good selection of bakery, fruits and cereal but cooked food was disappointing . It was very congested up to 10.00 . Evening entertainment was okay . Variety of tribute acts who kept us entertained. Two areas to be aware of Refurbishment of central atrium underway so be ready if your room backs onto central area to be woken Monday to Friday from 8.00 with noise from pneumatic drills and hammers….not a great start to the day. Try and get above floor four to avoid noise. Expect some noise from guests in early hours as they drunkenly return along the corridor .

We decided that having retired we would spend 4 weeks in this hotel . We had previously stayed 4 times already in 2023 and brought others to the hotel also. We splashed out and paid for 4 weeks which was just under €7k for the UP! service. All was well for the first week, half way through the second week my husband visited the bar and asked for 2 glasses of ice . You can imagine our surprise when he was asked for €2 having spent this money on a “luxury” holiday. So every day my husband went to the shop for ice out of principle. Their staff were clearly embarrassed at having to charge for ice. Half way through our second week we received a note to say that we were no longer receiving bottled water. This is despite the fact that we had already paid for bottled water in our booking . We complained about this and were told that we should BUY their containers and use the tap water stations on our floor. We took these containers to the restaurant and were refused glasses for our water as we were told these were not allowed in the restaurant. Puzzled by this we asked why. They said we had to buy water in there. So effectively what they are saying is it’s ok to be “green” in the rooms to save them money but not in the restaurant where they can charge for bottled water. A bit of double standards. The containers were €3.95 and broke twice. We complained and were basically told tough luck. This was until my husband spoke to Ariana. Then these were refunded. In the third week some building work started at the back of the UP! area. Although the noise was a bit annoying it didn’t bother us too much. Over the coming days the noise got louder and louder to the point where it was unbearable and the dust was everywhere and we both nearly skipped at the lift on the glass floors. Next they segregated off an area where the jacuzzi was to replace it. It remained cordoned off for a week with no on e working on it. We complained to reception and to Mar Alonso. The so called Hotel Manager. Asked for a meeting with her which didn’t happen. The last straw was when they started doing work to the area which served food. There was plastering going on and the food was not covered . Absolutely shocking. We complained and asked for compensation. None was received. Several other guests were equally annoyed and had written emails to no avail. So we left 5 days early. This is actually a lovely hotel with just poor poor management. We write to Ms Alonso and Jo Robinson with NO RESPONSE. So they have left us no option on this review. All it takes some times is customer service! We know several other guests have written to these directors and received no response. For anyone going there soon I suggest you ask in advance if all works are finished. Buy your own water in this luxury establishment!

Returned last week after a lovely week in this hotel. We were surprising my parents for my mums birthday so we didn't choose this hotel we just had to book where my parents had booked. To be honest I was apprehensive after reading the reviews and really did think I might be going to a hotel full of over 80s but was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and the age range of the other guests. The hotel is in a great location an easy five minute walk to everything, entrance to the hotel and reception areas are kept spotless and are pretty impressive, rooms were immaculately clean and ours was extremely spacious with a small seating area near the balcony. Food in the restaurant was always varied and plenty of choice. Our daughters who weren't with us are vegetarian so I do always look to see what choices there would be for them and I have to say they would have found something I am sure, there was a lovely cheese pastry one night and a vegetable pad thai another but as I say that was just an observation of mine. All in all we thought this was a lovely hotel, good food, great friendly knowledgeable staff. We were also very impressed by the complimentary changing facilities that were offered to us. We flew out late at night and had to check out of our room by noon but they offered us a lovely complimentary changing room which was again immaculate and had everything you needed to freshen up before going to the airport. Thanks to all the staff for a great stay and we will definitely be returning.

Lovely hotel in a good location close to beach, bars & Safari centre. Good selection of food available in the restaurant We upgraded to the UP which was really good, with comfortable spaced sun loungers and a nice pool The roof top terrace also benefits from a cool breeze Food & drink (all drinks) available all day from 10.00am. Good value if you like a drink during the day but a bit expensive if you don’t.

Lovely relaxing & quiet hotel. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds. Good shower. Plenty of sockets. Helpful & friendly staff. Good variety of food. Enjoyed the entertainment. One tip for Tom Jones tribute. He should advertise as Tom Jones & friends as he sung a lot of other artists songs. Plenty of sun beds & warm pools. Enjoyed the water aerobics. As an older couple it was ideal. I wouldn’t recommend for young families. There is a children’s pool but no play area or organized activities for them. Lovely area. Short walk to the beach. Really enjoyed the holiday. Would return again.

The hotel was nice and very clean breakfast was nice can't comment on evening meal as was b&b . I enjoyed my stay in March the only thing i wasn't keen on was the room was quite small

Brilliant hotel. The only complaint I have is when you pay all that money to stop in a hotel you shouldn't have to pay to use the safe. It cost €30 for 10 days. Its wrong, it should be included in the price. Great experience, really clean, friendly staff, pool side lovely warm welcome, WiFi connection was excellent. There was plenty if choice at the breakfast buffet, I can't comment on lunch and tea as we only went bed and breakfast.

The hotel had an attractive entrance with greenery. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds, plenty of lighting and wardrobe space. The bathroom had a large walk in shower. The rooms were serviced daily by pleasant staff. To maintain 4 star standard rooms need to be checked for wear and tear, some flooring in my room was damaged and needed replacing. The soap dispenser in my room and my Dad's room had lost their magnetic effect and dropped on the floor which broke the plastic bottle. The pool areas were lovely and there were always sun beds available. The hotel catered for mobility issues with several chairs allowing guests to access the pool with the assistance of the lifeguard. The food was good with a wide variety of choice for all dietary needs. The staff at reception were friendly, efficient and attentive. During our stay most guests were of retirement age. Unfortunately , we had some young non British people staying in several rooms along our corridor. They arrived back in the early hours of the morning shouting down the corridor, waking my elderly Dad which was quite a frightening experience for him. I reported the incident to reception the following morning and I was advised to ring reception in future and they would send up security. I am sure most guests are quiet at night, showing respect to other guests. Overall a good hotel. I would have liked to stay again as I am familiar with the hotel but I feel concerned about the level of noise at night.
