Villa Mandi Golf Resort

Well we visited here 10 years ago and is now nothing like what it used to be, all we heard was people complaining about the food (thankfully we was self catering), our room was in pretty bad condition, lots of cracked tiles, walls was a mess and furniture damaged, bathroom sink leaked when used so told the cleaner who said it’s been like that for a long time and never gets fixed, water pressure on the shower was none existent if you wanted a warm shower, we asked to change rooms and was denied, we also asked for late check out and was told not available but we could pay for another room (studio, there was 4 of us) as we flew out at 1am the next day even though our room was still empty at 10pm, the pool was nice and warm but you could feel the liner was spongy and had moved in places, bar staff was miserable most of the time, if you didnt get a sunbed before 9:30 you wasn’t getting one, people would reserve sun beds at 9 and not come out till after dinner but yet nothing was done about this, overall lots to be improved on and we won’t be visiting again

IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS! We've just returned after a week and we had a brilliant time. Rooms were spotless, spacious and modern in design. Beds were comfy, even the pull out bed! Personally, I thought the food was lovely from breakfast to lunch to evening meal. The grounds were always clean and maintained to a high standard. Reps not only got the kids involved in activities during the day but also the adults! Loved it. It is a short distance to the beach but with two young children, we did the 22min walk plenty of times with no issues. If you go all inclusive you have unlimited access to Siam Park and the hotel put on a return shuttle bus daily. This was fantastic however taxi only cost 6 euro to get there. Only issue we had was our room was ground floor directly facing the pool and the kids and other guests used our 'balcony' as a football pitch/goal so we had the football being kicked until late, at our doors. I think staff could have questioned this I agree that kids entertainment should be brought forward. I know kids stay up late on holiday, but with the sun exhausting the kids, it was a little too late. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. Going out of their way to assist guests when they could.

Nice enough hotel had a good holiday with the kids however the all inclusive had a lot of added extras and the food was very repetitive. The cleaner wasn’t very good the floor wasn’t mopped not enough towels were left and one day the beds weren’t even made. The night entertainment no one went to it wasn’t very good however the magician was ok. The clientele seemed a little rough around the edges however overall we had a good holiday there’s plenty to do locally and the views of the golf course are nice. Would I return? No but would I change the booking if I’d already booked it? Also no it’s just ok.

Great location for a chilled week away. Location not far from Los Cristianos & Las Américas, about 30 mins walk or €6(5 mins drive) in a taxi. Pools & pool area great, one pool heated, depth from 1m to 1.4m. Usual pool side activities if you wish to join in. No sunbed wars - I couldn’t believe it! We went all inclusive, breakfast served 8am to 10am. Good selection from full English, continental, pastries, cereal, fruit & omelette station. Lunch in the restaurant 12:30pm to 2:30pm, salads, burgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken & fish cooked to order. Dinner 6pm to 9pm. Steak, fish, turkey cooked to order every night plus other options which slightly vary each evening also Fries, nuggets & pasta. There was evening entertainment but we didn’t watch it. Only a small bar area for drinks in the evening, I think most people drank on their terrace. Room clean, spacious, large terrace. We were on the ground floor but would look into the suites next time as they looked nice with rooftop terrace. Drinks ok, cocktails not included in all inclusive. We paid a good price for family of 4 so we’re happy with our week away I wouldn’t want to pay more.

The villa itself and the rooms are lovely, the complex is actually really pretty. A perfect family holiday if you have very young children, not so much of your kids are older. However you can catch a taxi into town which costs about £5. The evening entertainment isn’t great, but it’s not classed as a holiday village as such, so we weren’t expecting entertainment every night. The parrot show was great so I would recommend that. Tui kids club was lovely. Our son went a few mornings and I have to say the staff were so lovely. I can’t fault it. Rooms were cleaned every day, and linen changed most days. The domestic cleaners were always polite and helpful. On arrival our air conditioner wasn’t working. I discussed this with the receptionist who did arrange someone to fix it very quickly, but even after it was fixed it didn’t really work very well throughout the holiday. However, I should have pushed for the issue to be resolved as I’m sure it would have been dealt with had I raised it again. If you’re ‘all inclusive’ then I would suggest you don’t have high expectations if you’re the type of person/family who likes snacks throughout the day. The snack bar opened between 3-5pm, but a few times we were told that there wasn’t any food and to wait until the main restaurant opened. The one time we did get there a little earlier, we were given a very miserable looking cheese sandwich. Despite the domestic staff being very helpful, hotel staff were rude, unhelpful and miserable. Once seated in the main restaurant you then wait for someone to take your drinks order…which sometimes never happened. Not great for a so called ‘all inclusive’ hotel. As soon as you’ve had your last bite the plates are more or less snatched from under your nose. However the food was lovely, so much choice and I have to say the area was very clean. All in all a lovely hotel, lovely food, and set in a quiet area. Would I go again? I don’t think so.

Great 11 days staying here on a self-catering basis. Staff were polite and helpful. The beds were comfortable. The room towels were replaced frequently and there was adequate kitchen utensils and a good shop on site to buy breakfast items. The air-con was adequate, the pools were clean and we would recommend Villa Mandi if you want to relax and unwind. It is not situated too far from the sea front - 25 minute walk or 5-7 euro in a taxi.
