I recently stayed at Coral Suites and Spa in Tenerife and was extremely disappointed. Upon booking, we weren’t informed about any ongoing construction work, which turned out to be incredibly disruptive. The noise from the renovations was unbearable from Monday to Thursday, yet when we raised our concerns, the managers outright denied that any work was happening. It felt like we were being lied to. When another couple complained, the lady manager changed her story, claiming the work wasn’t supposed to occur. It was frustrating to see such a lack of communication and accountability from management, especially considering they should be aware of scheduled works in their hotel. To make matters worse, the managers we interacted with were rude and dismissive. The female manager was particularly confrontational, shouting at us when we raised our issues. She mentioned she would change our room due to the noise from a man retiling the room next to us, yet we never got moved. We were deprived of sleep for our entire stay. Although she offered us a late checkout for the inconvenience, when we requested it, we were told it wasn’t possible because our room was being given to someone else. To top it off, cleaners were knocking on our door at 11:50 AM, despite checkout not being until noon. I’m not one to complain lightly, but this was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. From the rude staff to the constant dishonesty, I wouldn’t stay here again, even if it were free. I’ve attached videos and pictures showing the work that supposedly wasn’t happening. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this hotel—management could certainly use a lesson in hospitality and customer service.
