Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort

Un hotel excelente, muy bonito y bien ubicado. Es caro pero alguna vez en la vida merece la pena.

Yes This hotel is amazing I’m a 47 year old lone parent and travelled with my 12 year old son and we have travelled the world and genuinely have nothing negative to say about this hotel. The welcome when we arrived was fantastic, luggage taken straight to rooms from the coach, greeted with champagne/juice and cleared check in in minutes. The room was huge-separate bedroom with tv and triple wardrobe, hallway with triple wardrobe, massive bathroom with separate toilet, double basins, sunken bath and walk in shower, bar area with fridge, microwave and sink, lounge with tv, 2 sofas and dining table and chairs for 4, outside patio with two sun lounger chairs and washing line. Each night a turn down service was given, folding down the duvets, folding pjs and leaving a Lindor Room service was fast, hot and delicious. Spa was amazing-fabulous treatments and clean All staff we met were friendly and polite. Breakfast was immense with full English, pastries, cheeses, meats, cereals, fruit, juices et al. We booked a tour with Guest Services and all fine. Genuinely an amazing hotel which is situated halfway between Marina Rubicón and main town of Playa Blanca -10 minutes walk to either and directly on Playa Dorada beach. You couldn’t ask for a better location or hotel-book with utter confidence ❤️

Had a lovely 4 night stay at this hotel, staff were very nice, hotel breakfast selection was very good and varied. Pool was not too busy and plenty of sunbeds to go around. Room was a little dated but very clean our room attendant Marta was very pleasant. It’s in a great location to wander to the Marina or the town for nightlife and a wide variety of restaurants and right opposite a lovely beach. Never been to Lanzarote before but will be back.

Overall I have to say this hotel is fantastic but sadly, I left with a bit of a sour taste. Upon arrival we were met by the concierge, who whipped our cases away and presented us with a glass of cava! The hotel reception area is very impressive and the hotel smells incredible throughout. The room was as we expected from reading other reviews in that it was quite dated but very clean and loads of space so not complaining. The food at the three buffet restaurants was fantastic at both breakfast and dinner with loads of variety and everything was fresh! The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced and it was refreshing that some of the staff seemed quite knowledgeable on local wines and gave us some great recommendations. The drinks from the hotel bars were a little more expensive than the local bars but the Mahou did taste a little more premium than some. The beer was about 6 euro, cocktails 9/10 euro and spirit and a mixer 12 euro. We spent our time at the bottom pool which was lovely, however it did feel like a bit of a wind tunnel and the weather was mixed while we were there so when it was cloudy, the wind made it uncomfortable. We ended up on the Dorada beech on a few days which was more sheltered. The staff were great for the vast majority, however I did question this on my last two days. So on return from a day at the beech we cane back to find our room was wide open, I expected that room service were in there but they weren’t! There was no sign of damage so could only presume that they had left it open after cleaning as the room had been made up! We haven’t noticed anything missing but an opportunist could easily have walked in as it was literally wide open. We did call guest services to highlight the situation but the first person we spoke to didn’t understand English and the second person just said it mush have been housekeeping!! No mention of an apology which was disappointing. The last day of the trip we checked out at 12 and our bags were stored while we stayed around the pool until our transfer at 7pm. We were given a room to shower and change in which was pre bookable. This is a fantastic service and you don’t always get it so easily. At the time we checked out we asked reception if we could use the restaurant prior to pick up as the food was great as I mentioned and better than the airport! We were told that was fine. When we entered the restaurant I told the waiter we had checked out and we would pay for everything! I ordered drinks and again made it very clear we were going to pay as we had checked out and didn’t have a room to charge it too. As we ate our meal a lady from guest services approached the table and in front of other guests in the very quiet terrace area made a massive point of the fact we shouldn’t be eating in the restaurant as we had checked out but they had decided it was ok and they wouldn’t charge us but reiterated we needed to pay for the drinks! Not the 5* service you expect. Guess is that there is new management heavily cutting back on costs. Swimming pool toilets always dirty. My bedroom sink had a million ants crawling out of it. There was a turndown chcolate, same one every night (when they decided to bother turning down my room which wasn’t often) but not the gifts like in previous years that you come to expect. Christmas dinner was bleak and we were told by other people sitting at our table that if they were bed and breakfast they were told they had no option but to book it at 211 per person I believe. The show wasn’t in English or any language other than Spanish so couldn’t be enjoyed and I was served a single plain piece of cod. No sauce not garnish. My only dietary requirement is that I’m pescatarian. Overall bleak and not good like previous years. Oh and to add, there was still wrappers on the cheese at the buffet. Was a beautiful place and still is but not 5* anymore and not worth the 5* pricing

This was our fifth time to stay at Princesa Yaiza Hotel Lanzarote and I will continue to go back. The hotel is so relaxing and the staff are so helpful and courteous across the board. The breakfast buffet is top class serving a wide range of food to suit all tastes

This was our second visit and unfortunately not what we expected. Princesa Yaiza has a great location and could be a fantastic 5* hotel, but at the moment the experience is the one of a 3/4 star hotel. We had a sea view suite Relax, the view was beautiful but the room is tired and needs renovation. On the day of arrival the towels and bath robes where only for 2 adults, but we where 3 adults, had to ask the next morning and often we did not find the 3 towels but only 2. One thing that was very strange to me was that no amenities (apart a small soap, shampoo, shower gel in big bottles), when I asked how come the reply was if the guests needs anything they can ask and we will bring to the room!!! Never saw this in any other 5* star hotel. Turn down service was hit and miss, way to early every day she would arrive towards 05:30 pm, and on 7 nights we had the turn down 5 times, the Lindt chocolate was a nice touch. Included in the rate we had daily à la carte breakfast at the Isla de Lobo restaurant which was perfect and very good food, best pancakes ever and I am Canadian, only thing they are a bit small! Service was very good apart one morning where the napkin was full of holes that is a no no for a 5*L hotel (picture attached). We where in half-board and must say that only 1 buffet restaurantat a time was open the food was mediocre, not much choice and always luke warm at best, on one evening we went out for dinner as the food was really of bad quality. I had informed Guest Relations about the food and cleanliness of the walls and chairs. We had lunch one day at the Tunera Pool, even if restaurant was empy it took ages to be served, food was expensive and of very bad quality. The cherry on the cake was when we checked out, we needed to weight a suitcase as I was not sure it was within the 20 kg requested. Usually in 5*L hotels you have a scale in the bathroom here no you have to pay 1 Euro to weight your suitcase in the luggage room, I had a laugh at the one. I really do not understand how this hotel can be a 5 star let alone a 5* luxury. Will we return absolutely not.

Great time for the whole family.. Animation team are very inclusive and great fun.. Look forward to the daily pool quiz ..Always good fun. Lovely place to stay and food is outstanding.All the staff ahelpful elpful and friendly..Looking at booking next year already...

What a beautiful hotel! Such great service from beginning to end. The cake and balloons for my husbands birthday were a lovely surprise. We are already booked for next year
