H10 Lanzarote Princess

Arrived May 17th for 1 week. Hotel is lovely and in a great location. Check in was not until 3 but great for us they got us our room earlier. Reception staff all great, happy to assist. We were all inclusive but didn’t really use the main buffet restaurant, each time we did use it seemed to be chaos. We did however use the cactus bar for food during the day and this suited us fine. We’re not massive eaters in the sun. We also eat in the Italian and the Japanese, the Japanese was excellent, the food and the service. By far our fave bar was Coco Loco and the absolutely wonderful Vincent. His cocktails hit far better than any other! His service was amazing and he always greeted us warmly with a smile and we enjoyed nice chats. H20 keep this man in your employment! He is the best! We also loved the pool area it could just do with a few more toilets (all the cocktails) Vintage bar was also great of an evening before we went out. This hotel is definitely worth a visit and I will absolutely go back.

This is not a4 star hotel, more 3. Needs serious updating and refurbishing, service is slow, we ended up setting our own table most meals times. Food is passable although I am fussy and expected a better quality given its 4 star rating. Pool area was good, room was pleasant enough and kept well by the cleaner although the bed wasn’t changed until the penultimate day of our 10 holiday, think there was training going on. Air conditioning was noisy but didn’t need to use it, it would be different in July and August though, a glass light fitting dropped out and smashed onto the balcony and chair, thankfully no one was sitting in it!! The beds were hard and uncomfortable but they put a topper on when requested. The entertainment is ok but I don’t understand why they have 2 lots on the same evening, also the Papagayo lounge bar/entertainment hall needs a serious upgrade. Apparently there was a gym, I never saw this, which is annoying because I would have used it, I was going to suggest a gym, perhaps they should make it more obvious where it is. The location is great. Having said the above I would consider returning on a b&b basis purely for location and pool. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, although in some areas slow, but everyone is trying their very best.

The H10 Lanzarote Princess is well situated in the picturesque town of Playa Blanca on the south of the island. The location could only be improved by transplanting it across the road just that bit closer to the beach. But that would be being picky. The LP enjoys a fine aspect and is ideally situated for exploring the locality. This is a very comfortable place to stay, it is clean and bright, well spread out with lovely well maintained gardens around the grounds in general and the pool area. There are plenty of sunbeds poolside. This does not, sadly, deter those among us who feel the need to be up at the crack of dawn to place their towels on loungers, before taking up occupancy several hours later. Such is life, what can you do? Regarding food at the LP, I think to be fair you also have to be realistic. This IS mass catering. All food (aside from an Italian Restaurant and a Japanese Restaurant within the LP) is self service buffet style. There is no shortage of food and many choices are available. This can lead to having a right concoction of foods that have no business being together on the same plate - it's your choice! We were happy. Breakfast being our favourite meal of the day. We slept well. Couldn't hear a peep from our neighbouring rooms. We stayed in room 1064 with a balcony view over the Cactus Restaurant and pool area. The room was spacious, having TV, coffee / tea making facility, phone, and safe for valuables. The staff are friendly and efficient, they are worked hard at mealtimes which can be busy at peak times. Our only mistake? We regret not staying longer. Wish we had 10 days or even two weeks. Thoroughly recommend the H10 Lanzarote Princess

Have stayed at the H10 Lanzarote Princess many times. Never disappoints, Staff, Food, Rooms, all fab. The hotel is going through some upgrades, but that did not spoil the stay. Staff fulfils all your requests, food is buffet and there is a wide choice to choose from. Rooms are large, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are big with all facilities. There is top end entertainment over two bars every night, so if you are happy staying in, there is no need to explore all the restaurant bars' music venues, but that would be a mistake. Playa Blanca has loads to offer, and the hotel is close enough to walk to all amenities. If you are looking for a hotel for your partner or with the kids, this is the hotel for you.

Went with friends on arrival the hotel looks older than I thought it would look. Very friendly check in staff quick check in. She then took us to the privilege desk for that to be explained to us. The gentleman there was lovely and really took his time with is. Taken to rooms which I must say were a big disappointment They apparently got refurbished 3 years ago but looks a lot longer. Unfortunately no better rooms to move to. Went to the Privilege lounge which definitely needs a make over. Good selections of sprites wines and cava that you help your self to. As we were privilege we had breakfast most days in the Italian which was waiter/ waitress service. The staff were lovely and we had some great breakfast in there. The drinks at the pool bar are very limited only two cocktails available Pina colada or mojito few beers / sprites tea and coffee .food at the snack bar very hit and miss and not much selection. The food in the Buffett was overall very good and got better at lunch as the week progressed. Drinks in the main bar at night excellent we eat in the Italian a few times mine good meal the others ok. Japanese was nice for a change. Pool area is lovely very clean and well maintained, lots of sun loungers. The indoor pool is a joke , out door type with a conservatory over it. House keeping was ok . We did have some issues like Tv not working was given a huge new one a new phone and new hairdryer. Beds comfy and lots of hot water. The staff at this hotel are a credit so friendly and so hard working, they really made a difference to our stay. The hotel needs a renovation and should be closed for it to be done. However we found a lots that we really enjoyed especially the coffee shop with the most delicious cakes the privilege lounge for the self help drinks a the Italian for breakfast. Would I return that a maybe. We where to they plan on making improvements to the pool bar area with more outdoor comfy seating which is definitely needed

We are at the last evening of our stay at this beautiful hotel. This is the 5th visit, we think, and it never disappoints. The hotel building is pristine in every area, as I write, there is a painter tidying up the balcony next door, it's 18.25. The staff are so hardworking but always have time for a friendly greeting and a brief chat. The bedrooms are lovely and kept well by the brilliant housekeeping team, the general areas are spectacular and smell amazing. The pool area is just lovely and kept spotless. The food is excellent, so much choice, and presented beautifully, breakfast and dinner are a treat, we do half board so can't comment on lunch other than what is available in the pool bars. What else can I tell you, sparking white buildings, 2 minutes to a fabulous beach, Rubicon Marina one way, the waterside shops and restaurants the other way, excellent entertainment, lovely piano bar, stuff for kids, I could go on and on. Love it here and will be sorry to leave tomorrow, BUT it's been so so windy.

The hotel is in a great location, we’ve stayed around 5 times in the past 10 yrs, the food was really good, sometimes it could have been warmer but the best we’ve had, the restaurant in my opinion could do with a few more staff, very disorganised at breakfast and evening meal, not enough plates, glasses, etc, sometimes running out of food and not being replenished very quickly, we managed to get a table every day and only had to wait for food a couple of times, the soups were beautiful, every day we enjoyed them. The main pool was a bit cold, when it’s hot it’s fine because it’s refreshing, he undercover pool was also lovely, the room was cleaned most days, beds were fine, the only couple of things I would like to see improved is the cards for the doors, ours wouldn’t work and had to go to reception 6 times in the first 2 days, we were quite a way from reception so it was quite annoying. They gave us new cards and they worked fine till the second week and it started again, changed the cards again and then the second to last day they started playing up again, if it had been an older couple or someone with limited mobility they would have struggled. Also the back gate needs a slow shut hinge on, if a child runs through it if it’s windy they could be hurt. It was broken a couple of days then was fixed, it gets windy and could easily slam shut on someone. Overall we had a great holiday and would definitely return to this hotel.

Food was perfect and had a lot of choice, i’m a fussy eater and still had a full plate every day! Pool was lovely and so clean, and lifeguard and entertainment team were very good! Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, also had some free bits given to us when we arrived which was really helpful

Currently staying at this hotel in Lanzarote. The decor in the hotel and the rooms is lovely, very modern and kept incredible clean. The staff at reception are really lovely however the staff that work in the hotel are not very friendly or helpful. The food is good, there is a good range available to cater for all ages and the fruit is always fresh. There was not much gluten free things available. I just went without bread/pasta and ate salads, meat and fruit!! Although we did visit the Italian restaurant and I was able to get gluten free pizza!! That was really nice and they let me take the leftovers to my room for another day. My main critique is the wine list, it is so limited- there’s 2 types of rose wine you can have but they are not nice. We are forced to drink it because that’s all that is available. I had to go down to the local supermarket to find a bottle that is drinkable and nice. I have paid for all inclusive so I do not expect to have to go and buy alcohol!! The spirits are either watered down or too strong, it’s such a waste of alcohol!! Overall a lovely hotel in the best location. Lots of shops and bars that you can walk to and the beach is a 10 minute walk. The local supermarket is great! Great for families, couples, singles and friends.
