H10 Lanzarote Princess

We have just returned from this hotel. We arrived on 2.12.24. The hotel itself is lovely. Lovely and clean inside and by the pool. The pools are lovely and look very inviting. However, sadly they are freezing this time of year. They aren’t heated like other hotels in the area. We went in the baby pool on the first day and my 2 year old was shivering in under 5 minutes. We took him swimming in the indoor pool everyday for a little bit. This was still cold but not as bad. The hotel is in a lovely area. We walked to the beach and the harbour most evenings. The breakfast is lovely! Lots of hot and cold options and was just perfect for us. I loved the little extras such as fresh smoothies being made and chocolate frappes being put in jugs on the side to help yourself. Breakfast was our favourite. Lunch was also great! Fresh steaks being made with hot broccoli and mash on the side. Dinner, not so great. Mild food, some very cold, the drinks system is so confusing. You need a ticket every single evening as you enter and can only have 1 drink each (we were all inclusive). The rooms were lovely and cleaned daily. The fridge is small but does the job. The balcony is slippery with the tiled flooring on the ground floor. So be careful if you have children. We had a few slips even when he had shoes on. The balcony furniture is white plastic furniture which is dirty and very outdated. But this wasn’t too much of an issue. All in all I would return if we were B&B and in the summer when the pool would be warm for our child. Was sad to see the pool completely empty most of the time when the weather was so lovely and warm.

Our recent visit was our 20th and we enjoyed it just as much as our first, the hotel is very clean and the staff are so friendly and welcoming, there are two pools one indoor, which is heated and the outdoor which is slightly cooler but fine once you are in, there are plenty of sunbeds, not advisable to try and reserve them as a pool attendant will take any unattended towels away, after 11.00am you should be ok, the restaurant is busy at times, but this is to be expected in a buffet restaurant, breakfast is the best meal, we didn’t have lunch as we were half board, dinner can be a bit busy depending on the time you eat, there is plenty of choice and a grill cooking on request, the animation team have several things going on during the day and there is a good selection of evening entertainment, for those on all inclusive or privelege there is use of the Sakura and Italian themed restaurant, but you need to book as they fill up very quickly, all in all I would recommend The Princess, everyone has different tastes but we enjoy it

Rooms clean, dated but ok. Reception area, pool area lovely and clean and spacious. Plenty of sun beds although not so many umbrellas. Only downfall was atmosphere around pool as everyone was giving off about food and poor service which is not what u want to listen to laying by the pool but totally empathetic towards people in agreement with their concerns. Food terrible, buffet has poor selection, dirty glasses/plates etc, poor service and had to try and make own place setting as some tables no cutlery, some no glasses, some no napkins so had to lift off other tables to get sorted. Food cold. Dirty with food laying all round the trays etc. Staff in restaurant unpleasant and clearly overworked! Chef one night was room cleaner the next day and waitress the same night??!!! They clearly cannot get staff. Entertainment was mostly poor, water polo and drumming good. Singing in evening would have been better at karaoke!! Only one staff member at cactus bar and wait of 30 minutes at times to get drinks. Mikes bar did not serve soft drinks so while at evening entertainment outside, guests expected to climb 2 flights of stairs for soft drink! Beds very uncomfortable! Our room was overlooking the backyard of hotel and felt like bin lorries there day and night and all we could hear was glinking of glass into early hours of the morning with bins being emptied into lorry. Not to mention someone in chef whites power hosing the bins. Stuff you need to see to believe. Messaged TUI in app who advised to speak with rep in hotel. Spoke with TUI rep who has no interest in helping. He said all i get is everyone complaining about same thing and nothing he can do. I felt sorry for him tbf. Offered voucher for next holiday and asked if I would return the next day to get it but on return he was nowhere to be seen. Had note in room to contact guest reservations obviously as TUI must have mentioned to them. When i went to guest reservations i left after waiting 10 minutes while 5 members of staff stood and talked amongst themselves. Me talking to them wasn’t going to change our holiday or all the concerns so I wasn’t really bothered about speaking with them. Very disappointed as reviews show returning customers….I don’t know why. Good location, shop across road and 5 mins walk into town. Overpriced and I will not be returning
