Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island

An absolutely incredible stay from start to finish. Exceeded all expectations. The villa was absolutely gorgeous with your own private pool and garden. The service from all staff was excellent, especially from our personal concierge Lana. We ate in all three restaurants and had food in our room and could not fault it. We really felt like we were the only people on the island at times. So many lovely personal touches such as your names on your bikes that you use to get around, flowers for the women on international women’s day and personalised luggage tags. The transfers to and from the island literally drop you to the door of the hotel in the hotel jet! Such a special stay that we will treasure forever. We will 100% return one day.

Incredible resort with wonderful hospitality, a unique remote setting, and superb food and beverage. One of our favourite all-time resort stays in any part of the world. Seamless 24-hour service from our personal concierge Dom and extraordinary cocktails from Adul and the Lalin bar team were highlights of the experience. Must do? A sunrise run around the full perimeter of the island on the sand (~3.5km).

It was the most amazing vacation we ever had. We did love every second during our 12 nights stay on Platte Island. The luxury and nature experience was incredible. All of the team very wonderful people who took such good care of us. The villa was outstanding and the food superb. A dream vacation especially as it was for a special birthday which was a day to remember forever. A very special thank you however goes to the sports and entertainment team (leisure department) who created daily special moments for us. Gary Dowson and all of his team members are highly professional in their jobs, they are friendly and caring people with such a good humor. Although we were a bit disappointed at the beginnng as scuba diving wasn't available (operational reasons), they made it forgettable for us with taking such good care of us. We are already thinking of returning soon.

Let me start by saying that we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. This was our 2nd trip to the Seychelles. The first time we stayed at the Four Seasons. From beginning to end, the resort and the service were outstanding. We arrived on an early morning flight in Male and had about a 5 hour layover. We were met out our gate by a representative and escorted to the Waldorf Lounge at Male airport. I believe his name was Yves. he was a superb representative for the hotel. He was so helpful and informative. The Waldorf Seychelles is situated on its own island. It really is beautiful. Our pool villa was spectacular. The attention to detail in the rooms (such as beach bag, hats, water shoes, twice a day housekeeping) really stood out. But what makes this place special is the people, in particular our concierge/host (Yogi). Yogi handled all of our dinner reservations, spa appointments, and transport around the property. She also was very thoughtful in leaving us special treats. One day, I wasn't feeling well and she made sure to send some special tea to our room. She also arranged a special sushi dinner one night (sushi is on the lunch menu, but not dinner). I can't say enough positive things about everyone on the staff, but in particular Yogi. The food was very good at all of the restaurants. We were worried that we would get tired of the food. But everything we had, we really enjoyed at each restaruants. I know that some people complain about pricing and "yes" it is expensive, but the quality and experience was very good. The only thing that disappointed us about our trip was it rained 3/5 days. That is the not the hotel's fault. But it allowed us to spend more time in the spa and gym. We don't repeat a lot of hotels and resorts, but this is one I would absolutely consider coming back to.

The service was outstanding, and the attention to detail made my stay truly special. A special thank you to Donia, our personal concierge, who was super kind and always available to help with anything we needed. Her professionalism and warm hospitality made a huge difference in our stay. The resort itself is stunning, with breathtaking views and a relaxing atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended.
