How do you describe the perfect family vacation? You really can’t, you have to experience Chabil Mar to fully understand. The beauty and culture of Placencia topped off with the luxurious accommodations and services of Chabil Mar are unmatched. Our family of 5 loved it so much we came back 2 years later! This time, were fortunate to experience Lobsterfest, the ATM caves, a day on a private catamaran (cayes/snorkeling), massages, endless amazing meals, biking, swimming, games… The list goes on and on. If you want to relax or want adventure, the concierge will arrange anything and everything for you. The sky is the limit. The attention to detail, housekeeping, ground keepers , waiters, bartender, chef, drivers, literally everyone is helpful. Before Belize, we did most of our vacations at all-inclusives. We have been forever changed by Plancencia (and Chabil Mar). We realize how much we have been missing out on when we go to other countries! Chabil Mar does have an inclusive option if you choose but even that offers lots of flexibility. FYI, the food and bar drinks are great! I especially loved the cauliflower tacos and shrimp ceviche Relaxing on the pier with appetizers and drinks served was my favorite pastime! Our 2 bedroom with a loft was perfect for 3 older teens. Every villa looks beautiful. I don’t think there is a bad view. Ours was #16. We love our daily visits from the iguanas. Our kids are getting older and family vacations are precious and numbered. Most importantly, I cherish our time together but Chabil Mar made every this week perfect in every way. Thank you the forever memories. ❤️

Our daughter and her fiancé recently got married at Chabil Mar, and we could not have been happier with how it turned out! Chabil Mar is a beautiful place to stay at any given time, with local flowers surrounding the property, topiaries scattered throughout, 2 pools, a long deck and the sea at your feet. But the service, the food, the decorations, and the attention to details during the wedding were above and beyond what we expected! The Manager, Chris, bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect, and their wedding planner, Therese, made sure everything went as planned (even with a variety of hiccups that had nothing to do with them or Chabil Mar). We are so grateful for their help, their service and their dedication to making this wedding a truly wonderful event that we will never forget!

We made a last minute decision to get away from our farm business for a couple of nights in Placencia. We chose Chabil Mar Villas and wow, it turned out to be a fabulous choice. The beach front rooms, pools and meals made it a special anniversary getaway. The living area, kitchen and bedroom were all spacious and comfortable. The highlight for us was the meals from the kitchen served at an outdoor eating area, our front porch or dining area in our room. 1st class dining at your doorstep. Lobster, shrimp, excellent filet mignon all fixed with taste and style.

July 2024 I have been to Chabril Mar more then a few times over the years and quite simply, it is my go to place when I am not sailing off the coast. The accommodations are always clean and well kept. The drinks are wonderful, the food, delicious, and the staff is incredible. Each of them bringing the best of Belize to the resort. I will be back!

The room was fantastic. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The view was stellar and the service was the best I ever had. I’m not good at being pampered and they made it effortless, as strange as that might sound. The food was impeccable. If you have a chance to try the lobster thermidor, please do it, for your happy tummy’s sake.

This was our first visit to Belize and to Chabil Mar and we desperately hope it won't be our last. Chabil Mar is a treasure. The villa is perfect for a family. We had plenty of space and enjoyed having a separate space for our kiddo and air conditioning! The staff was lovely, helpful, and treated us like family. Chef cooked up our kiddo's "catch of the day" after a fishing trip. Every detail was taken care of for us. The best word to describe our stay at Chabil Mar is peaceful. We loved every second of it and hope to be back soon!

I fell in love with Chabli Mar from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by wonderful staff, an amazing view of the Caribbean, private beach area and a beautifully decorated and roomy villa. It was great having a full kitchen and a washer and dryer in the villa. The food at Chabli Mar was outstanding. The fresh fish, amazing fruits and the coconut rice were just a few of the scrumptious dishes prepared by the talented chefs. I enjoyed swimming in the Infiniti pools, exploring the spectacularly maintained gardens, and walking on the pier. The staff are professional, friendly, helpful, knowledgable and treat every guest like family. The free shuttle service to Placencia village made it so easy to enjoy nights out. The nights that we just relaxed at Chabli Mar were usually spent enjoying the view for the deck of the villa and taking advantage of the pools. I suggest that you take advantage of letting the concierge book your excursions. The tour guides they use are fantastic. Be sure to see the Xunantunich Myan ruins, they are awe inspiring. My favorite excursion was the island hop. We spent time fishing, snorkeling and went to a beautiful remote private island, where the captain of the boat and his crew mate prepared an amazing lunch of chicken, sausage, and the fish that we caught along with a few side dishes. I will return to Belize and I most definitely will be returning to Chabli Mar.

The staff are amazing and the property is top-notch! If you're visiting for a special occasion, let them know and they'll surprise you upon arrival. Airport pickup was quick and easy and the drive is maybe 5 minutes away. We stayed in villa 10 and it was amazing. Right on the beach with great views. Every time we ate a meal there, it was on our patio. The food was really, really good (we made a meal of the shrimp tostones and cauliflower tacos a couple of nights) although we did try and venture out into town for 1-2 other meals per day. We also walked all the way to the pier and back the first day, which is just over a mile each way. Highly recommend a golf cart if the weather is hot/humid, which it was for us. Our average "feels like" was 109 degrees although the actual temp was only 91/92. The property has a lot of topiaries which are fun to walk around and see but playing cornhole was surprising a highlight for us. Lots of fun even though my wife continually beat me even after we looked up how to keep score (wifi coverage is also great). The pier was pretty at night but the winds/tides were pretty rough so couldn't imagine eating out there while we were out there. Great place and we would highly recommend.

The whole overall experience was exceptional, didn't have any complaints. The cleanness of the rooms and attention to detail was off the charts. The food choices, quality and presentation were excellent. Loved the pools and grounds. Would return again in a heart beat.
