Built in the 30s and renovated several times through the years, most recently in 2017, this 3 bedroom and 2 bath home is in a town so quiet you can hear alfalfa growing. Walk out the door and you're on the mellow brick road to all Southern Utah national parks and natural wonders.The living room offers space for conversation and relaxing. Wifi is available as well as an HD TV with local stations and Roku so you can stream videos, TV shows, and movies. If you have an Amazon or Netflix account, you sign in with your account and view movies during your stay. A CD player and DVD player are available to use with the TV. Some CDs and DVDs are there to use.The kitchen contains cups, plates, silverware, and many cooking utensils. It offers an electric range, microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster, and pots and pans. A clothes washer and dryer are also available.One bedroom offers a queen bed. The second bedroom has a queen and a twim bunk bed set. The third bedroom contains a queen bed and a twin bed. This home features carpet of rust and orange, and a hippie bathroom with orange sinks and an orange bathtub. Make yourself at home in a nearly 1500 Square foot pad with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a throwback kitchen, dining room and large front room. This home is ideally situated for anyone wanting to visit any of the four Southern Utah national parks. It is quiet and peaceful and the perfect spot for someone seeking a calming and recreational escape. The kitchen has plenty of utensils for cooking your own breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is only one grocery store in town and you would be well advised to bring your own food if you intend to cook more than the basics.WiFi and television is available.There is also a clothes washer and dryer available. There is an uncovered patio off the back porch.Just for fun, we've also furnished this space with a number of pieces of furniture that have secret compartments hidden in them. You are welcome to try and discover how to access the compartments.Junction is a small, quiet town with less than 180 inhabitants. It is surrounded by mountains to the east and west. Frankly, there is not much to do or see in Junction itself, but the five national parks are a couple hours away and this location is a great home base for anyone wishing to take in a couple of them during their visit. Butch Cassidy's boyhood home is about 10 minutes away. Junction is also adjacent to the world famous Paiute ATV Trail and the perfect place to stage trail rides. The nights are cool and peaceful. There is a picnic campground 7 miles up City Creek canyon to the west that is free and beautiful.There is one gas station with snacks and drinks and a grocery store that offers the basics. There is a restaurant 5 miles to the south in Circleville Utah and other restaurants in Marysvale Utah 14 miles north. Butch Cassidy never slept here, but you can. We converted our house into two apartments, one for you and one for us, located on Highway 89, Circleville's main street. Explore Southern Utah's Mighty 5 National Parks and monuments: Bryce Canyon, Zion, Capitol Reef, and more. Visit Butch Cassidy’s boyhood home or ride the Paiute ATV Trail. ***Access roads to Eagles Mt. Ski Resort are closed during the winter. ***Circleville has a grocery store and a small restaurant with good food. (Hours vary throughout the year. Message us for current hours.)Thirty miles south, in Panguitch, you can find a larger grocery store, a hospital, a hardware store, and fast food places. (No national brands except Subway.) In Junction, 6 miles north, is a gas station with mini store and some fast food. They are open all year from 7 am until 9 pm. Junction also has a small grocery store open all year usually from 7 am to 9 pm as well.This is a rural area and hours can change randomly.The Paiute ATV Trail has two access points close to Circleville. One on each side of the valley. To visit Butch Cassidy’s boyhood home take the highway south of Circleville. There are state parks in the southern Utah area, Fremont Indian, by Cove Fort, Piute Reservoir, and Otter Creek Reservoir in Piute county. Kodachrome Basin is south of Cannonville, Anasazi Indian Village is in Boulder, Escalante Petrified Forest by Escalante and, Goblin Valley, north of Hanksville. Bryce Canyon National Park is about an hour away. Zion National Park is 1 hour and 34 minutes south. Fish Lake is an hour away, and Capitol Reef National Park is 1 hour and 30 minutes away.We are in a country setting. The mountains provide beautiful views around the house. Animals may be in the area at times with their different sounds. Sometimes, you may encounter their enthusiastic aroma as you go outside.
