Frida Village

My wife and I had a lovely relaxing week here. We had the chance to upgrade our studio apartment to a one bed, but glad we didn’t as studio was fine for us. The complex is situated on a fairly steep hill, but it’s only a short walk up into the village where there’s plenty of bars and restaurants. We will definitely return.

Arrived here 2.45 am with great check in instructions from Manos. Room very clean and comfy beds and pillows. We opted for an upgrade to a sea view apartment which was on the 3rd floor. Pool area nice with plenty of sun beds and no sun bed wars which was great. Small pool at front of hotel sometimes we had to ourselves. Pool bar ran by Orla for snacks and drinks. Great little supermarket opposite. In a great locationn5 mins walk from Piskopiano village. My only mild criticism would be that whilst bedding and towels were changed regular and the room was spotless clean on arrival, there wasn’t much cleaning done from day 2 onwards, the floors were never mopped and the bathroom wasn’t cleaned in our 9 night stay, I did it myself in the end. I guess the cleaners are busy but they need to be more thorough during a holiday makers stay. It wouldn’t put me off booking again though.

Another great stay at Frida, as others have said perfect location. This was our second stay and it was as good as the first, met up with old faces and made new friends. Sandra behind the bar is a new addition and a credit to the Frida team. As always Manos and Orla were always available to help out, guide, arrange excursions if needed etc. The whole of the Frida team want you to have the best experience and holiday. Rooms are clean and bins emptied every day, towels changed every 3 days. We hired a car for 3 days and explored other areas of the island (so many places to see) although the bus service (15 minute walk right down the hill) is very good however can be very busy. Will be coming back again in fact already booked for next year.

Had a great 2 weeks here in June 2025 on an Easy Jet holiday. Great location as you can walk to Old Hersonissos or Koutouloufari about 10 minutes each way on the flat once you walk a bit up hill to the road that runs through all 3 villages. You can also walk down hill to Hersonissos port area which has lots of bars, Tavernas and shops and boat trips. It only takes about 15 minutes walk down and you can catch a bus to Stalis or Malia easily and they are about every half hour and only 2 euros each. If you want to walk back to Frida apartments after it takes about 25 minutes if its hot and can be challenging up hill but you can get a taxi when you get off the bus at stop number 20. We found lots of good Tavernas to eat at night close by. 2 pools at the apartments with sunbeds and a pool bar. Manos the owner was so friendly and helpful to us and nothing was too much trouble. We paid extra for aircon at 110 euros for the 2 weeks because our room had a bit of road noise at night if you had the shutters open and because there are no mosquito screens and it was hot. Supermarket across the road is open early until late and has everything you really need. We would stay here again.

Another fabulous holiday at Frida Village, very friendly, clean, and comfy apartments. The owners, Manos and Orla, are always around making sure everyone is OK. Great pool area and bar, food is served for breakfast and lunch. Guests return year after year due to the welcome back. Only a few minutes up to the villages. We will be back again next year.

Lovely place to stay..owners are lovely looking after you well..lovely big apartment with 2 terraces we were self catering but ate out..did have breakfast here it is very good ..rooms clean fresh towels regularly..and bed changed..pool areas are very clean ..not big pools but plenty of loungers..great atmosphere everyone friendly..excellent value for money would come again and stay
