Yundingxuan Hotel

The ancient city Pingyao and the Yundingxuan hotel blowed our mind. The hotel provide free pickup from the train station. We took the high speed train arrived at Pingyaocheng station which is around 15 minutes away from the ancient city. When you enter the city wall gate, you will be amazed of the narrow streets and cobblestone road. Picked Yundingxuan hotel because it was closed to the North gate so If the taxi was to dropped us off it’ll be a short walk but the driver dropped us off near the hotel because cars are not allowed within the main streets. The hotel is closed to 200 years old and have characteristics of the Ming and Qing dynasties. I was born in Vietnam, With roots to China but raised up in the US since I was 7 years old. I’ve seen Chinese movies but nothing will prepare you to the hotel and the ancient city. I was surprised how big the hotel complex was. All the staff were very nice, the main host spoke English, and the breakfasts were traditional Chinese breakfast. We stayed two nights and we felt safe throughout our visit. My wife and daughter appreciated the three hotel cats and all the felines throughout the city. I’m sure the other hotels are fantastic and will give your a unique experience but I can vouch for Yundingxuan. Just be prepared to get out your comfort zone but be amazed by the visual and taste of Pingyao Ancient City.

If you want to explore the ancient town of Pingyao, then this hotel is fantastic. It's 15mins away from the high speed railway. They pick up and drop out off outside the city. With the covid regulations in place, the hotel supported me through the process and helped me gain entry into the city. I was then collected and driven to the hotel. Check-in was smooth and the lady helped me to book tickets for the Pingyao theatre show at the same time. I received a free upgrade from a double room to a suite. All in all, a fantastic holiday, and a great experience.

非常棒，晉商大院。古樸幽雅，非常安靜。訂的普通三人房，到店後覺得房間較小、經理給我們調整了一下，補了點差價，升級成了大房間。看完《又見平遙》後店，感覺房間裏下水道有點反味。店家為了不影響我們休息，再次給我們升級了兩室一廳的大套房。太讚了。讓我們感受到了山西人民的大氣！

臨近下西門的主街上，酒店就是老房子改建，古色古香的七進院落，特別漂亮，到了晚上大紅燈籠高高掛既視感更是好看！我們的房間在第七進院，很安靜，雙衞家庭房，四人正合適！早餐自助，特別豐盛，味道好。

我最近入住了這家古城民宿，體驗非常棒!從一進門就能感受到濃郁的歷史氛圍，古樸的建築風格與當地文化完美融合，房間佈置精緻典雅，每一個細節都透露出主人的用心。床鋪非常舒適，整潔衞生，夜晚非常安靜，讓人可以放鬆身心，享受難得的靜謐時光。

晚上酒店也非常安靜，就在古城裡麪，非常合適親子出遊。酒店床鋪都是古風特色，很大住着舒服，帶孩子也能睡。因為位置在古城最熱鬧的大街，吃飯什麼的都不用擔心。而且七進院，院子很大。老闆人很好，給我們介紹景點和美食，酒店環境不錯，有時候還能看到有人專門來拍照片，非常出片，很有張藝謀電影的感覺。而且很多明星都住的這裏。總之很好的一次住宿體驗

這是個五進七院的大院子，住進這個院子可以領略大户人家的風範，房子外觀古香古色，內部陳設新穎別緻，寧靜優雅，乾淨整潔，主人熱情，服務周到，隨叫隨到 ，還幫忙帶着買特產、提行李。地理位置就在西大街，離西下門步行幾分鐘，中國的華爾街（市樓，古城最繁華地方）也就幾百米，同時也是古城旅拍的最佳選擇，不過不在這住的話，可不能進去參觀和拍照，畢竟是私宅。有機會還會再來的。
