+ хорошее расположение отеля, первая линия; + приветливый персонал на рецепшн; + хороший завтрак, есть много вариантов блюд из яиц; + удобные двухэтажные домики с видом на море; + кондиционера в комнатах нет, нопо факту он здесь совсем и не нужен, т.к. домики удачно сконструированы и защищены тенью в самою жаркую вторую половину дня, даже вентилятором ночью не пользовался; + очень хорошая подготовка номера против комаров, персонал обрабатывает номер спреем и над кроватью качественная сетка, которая не ограничивает доступ воздуха; + прямо возле отеля всегда были свободные парковочные места; + вокруг много заведений, в которых готовят свежие морепродукты. - сильные отливы на этом пляже, но это не большая проблема, до места купания легко дойти пешком по песчаной отмели, даже прикольно.

Excellent cozy boutique beach hotel recommended by friend, and we didn't regret following her advise! Clean, nice bathroom, good terrace, great personnel, beautiful location. Great choice of restarants nearby. Will go back one day hopefully soon.

I would highly recommend Shanuo. Gillian and her staff could'nt have been anymore helpful and friendly. They booked taxi's and trips for me at very fare prices. The rooms are just what you need for a relaxed and comfotable stay. Very clean and well maintained. Excellent choices for breakfast served on your balcony. Directly on the beautiful beach with plenty of 'sunbathing' space / swinging beds and loungers on the property. Great advice how to travel around to local villages. As a solo female traveller I felt safe and comfortable at all times not only at Shanuo but in Zanzibar. Did not want to leave.

The hotel is in a perfect location and the beach is very beautiful!! The Wi-Fi worked well and the room was very clean. Here is the perfect place to relax and connect with the nature. The hotel team was amazing!! Also, Kassim, the exceptional guide-driver that the hotel connected us with, went above and beyond expectations! He showed us the best local spots and culture, was very fun, respectful, and had a lot of knowledge about Zanzibar’s history. We absolutely loved it and recommend it!

From the welcoming after checking in early hours of the morning and waking up to the breathtaking views, the cleanliness, attention to details is on another level, Gillian and her entire team went an extra mile to make the stay memorable, I am definitely coming back, it was more than a “Pole Pole” experience for me. Non può definirsi hotel, non può definirsi resort. Pochi bungalow immersi nella natura e rispettosi dello spazio circostante affacciati su una spiaggia che risplende del fenomeno delle maree. Abbiamo soggiornato lontano dal caos dei club affollati e rumorosi accolte e coccolate da uno staff gentilissimo e dalla manager, Gillian, che consiglia e organizza escursioni e transfer a dir poco perfetti.

È un hotel molto caratteristico con struttura a bungalow che si trova proprio in riva al mare, la spiaggia è enorme ed è possibile fare delle belle passeggiate oltre che rilassarsi nell'area comune con lettino o amaca. In totale ci sono 15 stanze con wi-fi e terrazzino all'aperto e, anche se non è presente un ristorante all'interno della struttura, la colazione è servita all'aperto proprio davanti alla camera e si possono scegliere due o tre tipi di menù dolce e salato. Noi abbiamo fatto mezza pensione e la sera ci è stato dato un voucher da utilizzare in uno dei ristoranti della zona comodamente raggiungibili a piedi dalla spiaggia. Unica pecca non c'è l'aria condizionata però ogni stanza ha il suo ventilatore a pale. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile si possono prenotare direttamente delle escursioni tramite loro così si è tranquilli sul servizio offerto e inoltre a due passi c'è il famoso ristorante "the rock" sempre raggiungibile a piedi. L'accoglienza è davvero al top la manager della struttura Gillian è super disponibile ad accogliere tutte le richieste che le vengono rivolte e ti fa sentire davvero a casa.

Consiglio questo albergo perché è molto carino, molto tranquillo e con una qualità di servizi altissima. Tutti molto cordiali e disponibili. Gillien un host meravigliosa. Ti accoglie in maniera impeccabile e ti fa sentire subito a casa tua

Abbiamo alloggiato per 6 giorni con mia moglie in una delle stanze di Shanuo a Zanzibar dopo una settimana di safari in Tanzania. Abbiamo scelto di non soggiornare in resort e puntare su una location più immersa nella realtà locale. La scelta non poteva essere migliore, ci siamo pentiti di non aver fatto 1/2 giorni in più! La stanza non é troppo spaziosa ma ha tutto il necessario. La terrazza e la vista spiaggia / mare sono impagabili! Si ha accesso diretto al mare da Shanuo con l'alta marea e la struttura dispone di vari lettini e materassi fronte mare per rilassarsi e prendere il sole. La zona, Pingwe, non è troppo turistica, a meno della presenza del celebre ristorante The Rock. Si sta in estrema pace. Ci sono i cosidetti "beach boys" ma non sono fastidiosi ed insistenti. La spiaggia è meravigliosa, fra le migliori di Zanzibar. Le maree, che si susseguono in due cicli giornalieri, non costituiscono un problema. Con la bassa marea si creano fantastiche piscine naturali. La zona retrostante le strutture sulla spiaggia è occupata da case di locali, i quali non arrecano fastidi o problemi ai turisti ma, anzi, fa sentire maggiormente immersi nella realtà locale. Ci sono tre buone alternative a scelta per la colazione (salata, yogurt e musli, frutta pancake), accompagnate da biscotti, latte, succo, caffè, tea e torta. Le quantità sono più che giuste, evitando gli sprechi dei classici buffet. La struttura non ha ristorante ma sulla spiaggia ci sono almeno 3-4 ristoranti validi, in particolare di fianco a Shanuo c'è il ristorante "The Wishing Tree" (mix di cucina locale, italiana e internazionale), dove abbiamo cenato divinamente 5/6 sere con sconto per i clienti Shanuo del 15%. Ultimo ma non per importanza, lo staff e la manager, Gillian. Lo staff è composto da ragazzi locali, estremamente disponibili e professionali, tra cui, si vede, c'è un ottimo clima. Gillian è fantastica, sempre a disposizione per qualsiasi necessità dei clienti, soprattutto per organizzare tour ed escursioni grazie ai ragazzi di fiducia della struttura e dare consigli customizzati sulla base delle proprie priorità. Prezzo e rapporto qualità / prezzo imbattibili.
