Fairfield Inn & Suites Jacksonville

As a Marriott Ambassador I stay in a lot of Marriott hotels. Some fantastic, some not so fantastic and I have learned to put up with a lot. But this property has taken it to new levels. Days before checkin I asked over chat to confirm my upgrade and was told to check back in on my arrival date. I did so and was told there was no upgrades available to me. When I checked in I asked that the General Manager contact me as well. Never happened. Still waiting. When we got to our room we unpacked and went straight to bed. The next day we discovered the shower was full of black mold. If it was not such a pain to pack back up and move I would have requested to move, but instead opted to not use the shower much and awaited the General Manager to contact me as requested. Needless to say nothing has happened. We will never book this hotel again - ever. We did not bother to eat any of the food offered at breakfast. This place is just plain disgusting. Sorry, but no other way to put it. I have since sent a complain to the health department and hope that this gets resolved.

My family and I came from Ohio to a family reunion. Nola was so friendly and checked my daughter in quickly. Once she found out I was at another hotel, she talked me into staying here too. The whole team was great. Thanks for making our stay great!!

Nice hotel and conveniently located in Jacksonville, NC. I can't comment on the breakfast as we opted to eat outside the property but I did notice they had fresh scrambled eggs and bacon on the morning we left. Overall a very nice property with an hospitable staff that was courteous and professional. I would stay at this location again if I travel to Jacksonville, NC.

The hotel has a-good rating on TripAdvisor and I will support that. Very service-minded staff, the hotel is clean- and seems to be well maintained. AC and internet all good. Recreation area with pool is clean and well looked after. Rooms are small to medium size all fine. Should have been a safe in each room. Breakfast is not what what we are used to in Europe, such as life. No worries. I have stayed at other Hotels in Jacksonville, they have been far less service-minded and forthcoming. Note the rooms are cleaned every second day. Compared to upstate prices, this is a budget friendly hotel.

Loved the updated furniture in the rooms. Comfortable beds. Shower had wash, shampoo and conditioner as the new trend is large refillable bottles Hot tasty breakfast 7-10am. Coffee 24/7. Friendly staff. Pool currently under renovation. Clean and fresh. Not sure why not #1 in town

There was a wonderful woman at the front desk named Nola who was one of the most kindest, thoughtful, beautiful person I've ever met during my travels. She was so accommodating to my Aunt with disabilities, made her feel important and cared for. She was gracious to my Uncle and my other Aunt and helped them find transportation from the hotel to the airport. Fairfield Inn should be very appreciative that this woman was on the staff Memorial Day weekend. Now my whole family will be using Fairfield Inn Suites for their travels!

Had a small incident with the rooms however Nola took very good care of the situation and made sure that our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. She made sure we had everything we needed and more. Very nice and friendly, excellent customer service skills

Very nice rooms. The only bad thing is they are under construction. Not much room to park with all that going on. The check in lady didn't tell me how much my room was. Didn't know the price until I checked my account. When I booked I thought it was a different price. Beds are very comfortable

My 18 year old daughter stayed at the hotel from 9/1 to 9/5. While she was there her hotel room kept being broken into while she was not there. They kept changing her key card and even used the bathroom while they weren't there. Her clothes also started going missing. I called to speak to the owner and was told that there are no cameras on the floor and that nothing could be proved by the manager Sean. I asked to speak to the owner and she told me that he is a busy person and I can't speak with him. My daughter goes to Jacksonville frequently to visit her husband who is a Marine. Now I have to be worried about her safety when she goes as she said there were sketchy people in and around the hotel at all times. We want a full refund. The manager just called me back and told me that there is nothing they can do and cannot give us a refund and can only offer us 5000 points. We will not be staying at this hotel in the future.
