The Crystal Beach Hotel

When we first arrived we were very disappointed by the appearance of the place and the rooms and the pool from the pictures we had seen from when we booked on line! The lady at the desk seemed to be nice at first, but seemed to be in our room more than us and came across very intrusive !! I am a lady who likes to take care of my appearance and I do wear make up I got the tiniest little bit of make up on the hand towel (I will include a picture of this ) I didn’t think anything of it iv been travelling for years and never had a problem!! When I arrived back from my day out I was called to the reception by the receptionist in front of a busy area and greeted with a hand towel that was placed in a little bag with my room number on it!!!!! And she told me you have got something on the hand towels !! With pure embarrassment I just said I will clean it for you it’s only make up it will come out and it was only bb cream so not even thick! I took the towel and left it in soak while we went out came back and she pulled me again asking me where it was! I took the wet hand towel down to her clean and she was then questioning what towels we had in our room! These do not get cleaned daily! I informed her that we had no hand towels only the 2 bath towels in there she seemed very concerned !! I then went back down to let her know about the fact we only had two towels and myself and my partner caught her holding this hand towel up in the light checking for stains!! Never in my life have I felt so embarrassed or had to wash my own towels supplied by a hotel!! Will strongly advise not to waste your money here!! There are plenty more cheap hotels to spend your money on!! The pool is merky run down and dirty ! We also booked a superior king room and we were very disappointed as they didn’t have one available but gladly took our money for the superior king! They don’t seem to understand when your not happy and get rather angry !

I stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago. I thought it would stay here again, As the rooms were well looked after on my first stay here. It was nice to see that the rooms are still looked after. The staff was absolutely excellent, and helps in every way. It is a short walk to the beach, as well as the entertainment centre on Bangla rd. I definitely will stay here again, and would feel very comfortable sending friends here.

Ik was al vaak in de Crystal Beach en altijd heel tevreden. De staf is nog altijd supervriendelijk en de prijzen meer dan schappelijk. Het lijkt echter wel dat Covid19 hier hard heeft toegeslagen. De kamers ruiken muf en vochtig en verluchten brengt weinig soelaas. Verder is het uitzicht volledig veranderd. De pitoreske huisjes waar de masseuses met hun stoeltje voor de deur zaten zijn volledig verdwenen met het oog op de bouw van een nieuw superhotel. Heel het straatje is afgesloten met ijzeren hekken ; je herkent het niet meer. Ook de bar met zijn pool biljarts is verdwenen. Het gezellige straatje van welleer dat naar Patong Beach loopt heeft een totale metamorfose ondergaan ; nieuwe appartementen, parkings, maar geen lieve dames meer die je aanspreken met 'hallo massage sir'.
