Adventure Turtle Homestay Meru Betiri

Really enjoyed my time at this homestay and within the National park. Sri (the host) is so helpful and warm, she is so great to talk with and willing to help you set up your trip in the best way possible. She also will introduce you to her family and friends who are all wonderful. The stay in the National park (along with the driving tour and turtle sanctuary experience) ran very smoothly and was something I will never forget. Staying here is a real and authentic Java experience and I am so grateful I got to meet Sri and share these few days with her.

Very good experience at adventure homestay Meru Betiri. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom with hot water. Sri was very kind, cooked for us and explained a lot of things before we start the adventure. The forest was amazing and we saw the turtles in the night and also in the morning.

That was a wonderful experience !! Sri is an amazing person who helped us to organise our tour to see turtle and to realease the baby (for a really good price). We also went in the green bay, a magical beach with a waterfull also on the sand. The accomodation is really nice and clean. She showed us the village and explain us about the life of people here and everything. So, more than a homestay we found a magical place with nice people, is why I recommend you to go there and meet Sri.

Mba Sri is the owner. Very helpful, super informative and humble. Will help you without hesitation. Mas Iza is the driver. He is great at offroad, know the animals behaviour and very humble. Thank you for making this trip possible and unforgetful.

Sri organized a taxi to take us from Banyuwangi to her homestay. She showed us around the village and we had a great time visiting with some people, taking pictures, and trying fresh fruit. The next day we went to the see the mother turtle in the evening, and the morning after we released babies from the hatchery into the water. Great experience! Expect some slow rides over bumby roads and some rsutic accomodations at Suakamade beach but well worth doing. Sri is great. Her cooking was all really yummy. and she cares about doing a good job.

Entering a protected forest area is a whole different experience. It was challenging, but pulling yourself together and going through everything rewards you unlike any other. To organize such trip would usually take a lot of planning, but thanks to Mrs Sri and her tour package, this was resolved without much of a hassle. This tour package was the best decision I've ever made. It provides a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Mrs Sri is really friendly and helpful; she introduced us to the local people around the area. Both Mrs Sri and the locals shared with us their vast knowledge of the area; showing us the best spots and the hidden gems that we never imagined before. My only regret is that I did not have more time to book another trip for this tour package. However, if I ever have another chance, I'll immediately go "shut up and take my money; I'm in!" For those who are still not convinced, I truly recommend you to at least give this tour a shot. Carpe Diem; Seize the moment or regret it.

Een chauffeur van MIRU BITIRI kwam ons ophalen aan de luchthaven. En bracht ons naar de homestay. Daar werden we zeer vriendelijk ontvangen door Sri. We kregen de mogelijkheid om ons te douchen en de overtollige bagage achter te laten. Ondertussen werd er voor ons een heerlijke lunch klaargemaakt. We kregen nog uitleg over haar Dragon fruit plantage. En het filteren van water naar drinkbaar water. Waarbij ze werkgelegenheid biedt aan enkele jongeren uit de buurt. De rit naar sukamade belooft heftig te worden een ongeveer 3 u durende rit met de jeep, en deze is nodig. Het is de enigste manier om in sukamade te komen. Onderweg nog een korte stop bij een familie waar ze kokossuiker maken. Na een ferme rit komen we aan in Sukamade waar we ook overnachten. Het kleine dorpje waar ook het centrum ligt voor het behoud vd green turtle is klein en wat vervallen. Het is duidelijk dat het heeft geleden door de Covid-pandemie. De kamers waar we slapen een zeer basic en kan een likje verf gebruiken. Helemaal anders dan de verblijfplaats bij de homestay van Sri zelf. Daar is het verzorgd hebben we zelf ondervonden. Je komt natuurlijk niet naar hier voor luxe, maar de unieke ervaring om de green turtle te zien en de baby schildpadjes. S' avonds hebben we met hulp vd plaatselijke ranchers gezien hoe een schildpad haar eieren kwam leggen aan het strand. Deze worden dan weggehaald en in het centrum veilig te leggen om zo in een veilige omgeving te laten uitkomen. S' ochtends kregen we de unieke ervaring om baby schildpadjes te mogen vrijlaten op het strand op eigen tempo.Sri van adventure homestay MIRU BITIRI heeft ons tijdens het korte verblijf ferm in de watten gelegd. Met lekker eten, insecten spray voor op de kamer en een ventilator. De terugweg was opnieuw met de jeep over de ongeveer 3 uur durende rit met af en toe een stop voor de nodige foto's. Bij terug komst bij haar homestay. Kregen we opnieuw de mogelijkheid om te douchen. Ik zou zeggen wil je een trip maken naar Sukamade turtle beach doe het via Sri van adventure homestay MIRU BITIRI. Want ze doet het met hart en ziel. Ook een ferme dank aan MIMPI REIZEN die dit heeft geregeld voor ons.

Incroyable expérience que nous avons vécu. Peu touristique, c’est vraiment l’aventure pour rejoindre les lieux. On a adoré. La guide est fantastique et nous a tout expliqué faisant de son mieux pour que tout se passe parfaitement. Tout était très bien organisé. J’espère que ce lieu restera unique comme il l’est aujourd’hui

Un immense merci à Sri pour cette expérience unique, authentique et enrichissante. L’accueil réservé par Sri était juste incroyable, elle est tellement généreuse, bienveillante et excellente cuisinière. Le trip day a Sukamade, la visite de son village, la rencontre avec sa famille, l’après midi à la plage, le cours d’anglais improvisé avec les élèves ont rendu ce séjour très spécial. Allez-y les yeux fermés, si on aime l’aventure et l’authenticité, ça vaut vraiment le coup. Quel bonheur de fuir la masse touristique pour aller à rencontre des indonésiens et plus particulièrement à leurs valeurs. Merci pour tout Sri.
