Seesaw's Lodge

My primary reason for our stay at Seesaw’s Lodge was family history, because the inspiration for the name “Johnny Seesaw” came from my grandfather “Ivan” Carl Sesow, a Russian immigrant who was the proprietor and builder of The Wonder View Log Pavilion. My secondary reason was to check off an item on my “bucket list”: experience Kim & Sean’s reconstruction of the property. Our “Stick Season” mini vacation was divine perfection. The modernization provided everything from a beautiful central great room with access to a complete kitchen and cozy fireplace sitting area, where we enjoyed hot cider and cookies, while conversing with other guests whose stays focused on skiing. There was also a spacious mud room entryway, a game room with pool table, and washer/dryer. We stayed in the Birch Room (my favorite tree) with French doors opening onto a covered deck. The gas fireplace kept us warm and cozy as we slept on gel-cooled mattresses with cotton blankets/down comforters. The bathroom had things like a dual flush toilet and 6-foot tub/shower with both shower head and wand ( which I have at my home). Hot water was instantly on, water quality was superior to where I live, and the lavender bath products were high quality. Plenty of towels!! Custom closet with built in drawers even provided a stepping stool for shrimps like me as well as cozy robes. Next visit I’ll grab a toothbrush, pack lightly, and head to the Green Mountain National Forest. I have always loved my Vermont birthplace and now I love Sesaw’s Lodge. P.S. Do not forget to dine on site!

Beautiful lodge room. Spacious and well appointed. Nice outdoor deck. Access to the main lodge room and kitchen is an added bonus. Beautiful workmanship throughout. Nice and cool at elevation with lovely gardens on the property. Restaurant on property is convenient with friendly service and reasonable prices.

Everyone just loved the Lodge! The beds were so comfortable and the pillows were amazing! Everyone slept very well! The kitchen was so well equipped! And it was beautiful!!!! We had a private dinner party for 80 in there Tavern room which leads out onto a stone patio. The views were incredible!!! It was a complete success!!! We can’t wait to come back in January 2025!

We stayed in the chicken coop which has clear views of both Magic and Stratton. The accommodations were perfect for our needs. We stayed three nights and we cooked two fried b’fast and one dinner. We love that Bromley Market was just down the road for another breakfast and enjoyed the delicious dinners at the restaurant two other nights. The cabins are well appointed and very thought out. The attention to detail and anticipation of our needs was noted. We look forward to returning!

My husband and I had a fabulous weekend away at Seesaw's, even though the weather did not cooperate for all the hiking we wanted to do. We stayed in the Birch room in the lodge - it was beautiful and clean. The bed was so comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and well appointed. The air conditioner was quiet and the double doors opening onto the deck were great for fresh air. The lodge itself is absolutely gorgeous, with a gourmet kitchen, beautiful fireplace in the living area and a game room. We also enjoyed the wood hot tub even in the rain. I took advantage of a free yoga class in the barn, and it was just right for a rainy Saturday morning. The food and staff in the restaurant were fantastic. We enjoyed everything about Seesaw's, and hope to go back again soon!

Wonderful place for a company retreat! This was my second stay at the lodge, taking a different team each time. Everyone loved it, and were in awe with the amenities. Innkeepers are super accommodating. The most incredible lodge I've ever stayed in, and I travel quite a bit.

Between the resturant and the lodging were fabulous. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff made the trip more enjoyable. The appetizers were on point, dinner was amazing, local beers were being served.

Stayed in Fox’s Den. Great amount of space inside with a great big couch. Clean. Great big shower. Parking at the front door. We also had a delicious dinner in the restaurant. Josh was super helpful! Just a fantastic experience!! Can’t wait to go back.

Extremely comfortable lodge with lots of amenities. Our room had a thermostatically controlled fireplace that the kids loved, and a really spacious communal great room and chef's kitchen (in the main lodge) that was a really great gathering place to play games, eat, and socialize. The hosts were extremely friendly and seemed like they wanted our stay to be the best it could be. There's also a number of EV chargers on site (one at the multi-room lodge, a number associated with the restaurant) that made our visit extra convenient. Would definitely book here again!
