Rieser Achensee Resort

We enjoyed the gastronomic food, beautiful wellness and picturesque Pertisau. The staff were as always, very friendly and helpful. Every holiday at Hotel Rieser feels like coming home to friends or even family. It is enjoying every day on all levels !

We have been going to the Rieser for many years. It has always been our favourite Austrian lakes destination and we have never been disappointed with the Rieser in terms of team welcome, friendliness and service, comfort and cleanliness and the pool, sauna and spa facilities which are superb.

This was our first visit to the Rieser Achensee Resort and it was nothing but a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience in this luxury hotel run by the wonderful Rieser family. We went with our two teenage daughters and the resort and local area offer so much to see and do in an exceptionally beautiful area situated between the mountains and close to the Achensee. During our ten day stay we took cable cars up into the mountains for hikes, cycled along the lake, visited the Old Town in Innsbruck (about 45 minutes by car) and relaxed at the resort making good use of the pools, including a small lake in which you can swim! The staff are all very friendly and attentive and the food was excellent, especially the choice and quality of the evening meals. We celebrated two birthdays at the hotel and we were impressed with the unprompted personal touch. Overall a wonderful experience and we hope to return. Every aspect of our stay was fantastic at The Reiser. This is a very high-quality hotel and delivered in a friendly, relaxed ambience. The hotel team are friendly people and always super efficient to any request. We spent our days enjoying the great facilities, hotel services, daily classes, and this beautiful area. Great walking from the door or cycling along the lake. The food was always superb from breakfast through to dinner. The Reiser is a very special place and we can't wait to return. Well done to all the team for creating a memorable experience!

The hotel provides amazing location, fantastic accommodation, spa & leisure facilities and service. Food is excellent and the staff are conscientious and friendly. It really is a place to relax and recharge. Austrian Mountain-Lake holiday at its best.

The Rieser hotel was always beautiful, luxurious and a pleasure to stay in, however since its incredible expansion outwards with new pools, additional saunas and relaxation areas it has become a resort in its own right. Much thought has gone into what guests are offered and what makes a true recipe for relaxation - for example the provision of hot and cold drinks all day, an impressive guided sauna program, expanded activities, and little touches that are discovered as you stay and relax (e.g. the little pots of ready made menthol salt in the sauna areas). The new bedrooms are beautiful, comfortable and have gorgeous views of the mountains. Room service is excellent and any requests are met without issue. Overall service across this hotel is outstanding, a high level of staff training and expectation is obvious and yet there is an understated Austrian culture. The food is extensive, delicious and innovative - it was always fantastic but the detail and technique now on show in the evening meals is outstanding. There is considerable choice with food and you can opt whether you fully indulge or request lighter options. Either way the activities on the doorstep are fabulous - hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing etc etc which enables you to burn some of it off. Before you collapse into the spa for hours. The provision for children is outstanding and they are genuinely welcome at this hotel. The mini bath robes, extensive menu in the evening which you can pick and mix with the main menus and a lovely downstairs hangout area with games, table tennis etc are highlights. The pools, the private freshwater lake and the bikes kept us fully entertained. This is an excellent multi generational hotel - indeed 4 generations of the same family are owners and stewards of it. It is possible for multiple age ranges to stay, relax, enjoy and have freedom leaving everyone extremely happy.
