Palm Village Villas

Stayed with my family from the 26 th July for 2 weeks. Booked through jet 2. Arrived very late and could not open the combination lock to get the key as they told us the wrong code. The next morning I went to open the shower door in the on suite to have the whole glass door shatter all over me and cut my leg. I’m so glad it want one of my daughters who opened the door. Rang jet 2 who contacted James villers to come and clean all the glass up as it was very dangerous. Nobody came when we got back in the afternoon so we had to ring them again. Later that day they came and cleaned the glass up. But we was left with a shower we couldn’t use. Still not been repaired when we left on the 10th August. We love Cyprus been going for 20 yrs. if they updated the villa it would be a great place to stay. The fact of the poor service we had and being covers in glass on our first morning. We will not be returning to that villa.

Stayed here for 2 weeks; 26 June - 10th July 2022. Family of 6. We were a little apprehensive given a couple of negative reviews on the 'James Villas' site, the company who we booked with. However on the whole we had a great stay here. Its a rental property so there are going to be marks on the walls, furniture etc, which give the impression its not very clean. Decent size and well equipped villa along with a nice extended garden area. Its artificial grass, so your not struggling for room around the pool, can acces the sun all day !, no shade from the villa or trees. The garden area backs onto a local allottment containing fruit trees. Decent pool, along with loungers, Patio table ,chairs plus x2 rattan settees & umbrella on the extended grassed area. Good tv with excellent choice of channels including all the English channels along with Sky / SkySports (bonus !). Good wifi in property. It was pretty quiet during our stay, no issues from the surrounding area. About 10 mins walk to the Supermarket, bars/restaurants in Pernera. Around 20mins walk into Protaras. Some lovely beaches in Pernera and the walkway along the coastline into Protaras from Pernera is good. Theres a Bus stop about 5 mins walk away, via the 'scrub land' near the villa, which also cuts down the walk time into Pernera. The pictures on the James Villa site are of the actual villa ! We had a couple of issues during our stay, 1) Air Con unit in a bedroom was leaking water. This was resolved within a couple of hours of reporting it. 2) Clean bed linen / Towels. Had to chase this up during our 14 night stay. It took until the 11th night to get clean linen & towels. Would stay here again. Ps, can also recommend The Doma restaurant, along with the Station bar for food in Pernera, both excellent

The good bits Good Wi Fi, Towels left out for us, clean pool.....................thats it The bad bits Dirty and obviously not cleaned for quite a while, both inside and out. No toilet rolls no cleaning materials and even no plug in the sink! Beds cheap and the mattresses rock hard. No TV channels, not that i was fussed but.... No welcome or information pack and no contact by the staff. The area in which this villa sits seems run down and uncared for and ive paid less for a better villa elsewhere on the island. Its a fair walk to the nearest decent restaurant so FYI.Protaras and Paralimini are really nice so find a better villa to really enjoy them

Look elsewhere for a nicer villa, no pool towels provided, pool was freezing, old torn sofa in lounge, bathroom cupboard held together with tape, beds are rock hard, this is a very basic villa and seems to be in an area where a lot of villas have been left empty and are run down , we were very disappointed and won’t be using James villas again
