be wary if you are disabled or have difficulties walking. We arranged a late book in as we had theatre tickets and on our arrival we were told we had been upgraded to the best room in the hotel. It was a quirky but clean hotel and on arrival we were looking forward to our stay, until the night porter pointed up to a steep flight of stairs. I asked if there was another room we could have and I was told no and that there was no lift, and yet the hotel boasts that it has complied with all access laws. It may well do but it needs to go further, even though on booking we informed them I would need disabled parking they took no thought toward my disability. I struggled up that first flight of stars and was assured the room was not that much further, it was up a further six flights of stairs, I was in massive pain and my partner was in tears because of the way I was being treated and the only excuse the nigh porter gave that it was the nicest room in the hotel. On reaching the room I took more pain killers and tried to watch TV, but it would only show two or three terrestrial channels. They did refund or money in the end but please be wary when booking here.

Under relatively new ownership, the Beach Club tried hard to deliver on its up market vibe in the welcoming reception area and lounge bar/restaurant. Only staying for two nights to visit Lands End and the Minack before taking a helicopter to Tresco, this was a perfect spot to stay. Our room was a “cosy double” which was very small and overlooked the side alley and bins but as we literally slept in it and the bathroom had all we required it was ok. Hot fresh breakfast,lovely, well done to the delightful new member of staff who managed to get a woefully inadequate coffee machine to produce our morning latte. Book a sea view room and 🤞they sort the coffee and you will enjoy your stay!

The helpful staff provided us with rooms at short notice when our travel plans to Scilly were disrupted, including a free upgrade to a room with sea view. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, good location overlooking Mount’s Bay.

The Hotel is located on the seafront in Penzance. Amenities located close, Shop/Supermarket, Petrol Station, Arcade, Chip Shop and old style Lido. Receptionist was fantastic at meet and greet and she made me feel very welcome at the hotel for a first visit. I stayed in Room 4, for a single room it is very light and airy. Nice decoration (looks recently decorated) and all the necessary you would need for a stay. Tea Tray was ok with biscuits, a choice of Tea/Coffee and a hot chocolate. Tea Pot and water glass and kettle. Nice size TV with Freeview channels. Bed is standard single size. Built-in wardrobe space was good and includes a hidden hair dryer. Guest Guide for the hotel and a phone for reception. Bathroom was a good size and is shower only. Hot and Cold taps are wrong way round (not sure if that is just this hotel or if that is a southern thing???) Fresh towels very fluffy and good size. Some little extras like the shower cap just make the hotel look great and make the guest feel more welcome. A laundry service is also available. The room looks onto the back of the hotel so not a lot to see but there is an outside fire escape and can sometimes get noisy from outside. The noise on the corridor is a little loud sometimes but that can be said for a lot of places. Breakfast was fantastic, continental was a great choice of cereals, croissants, fruit and yoghurt. Tea and Coffee on arrival to the dining room, a choice of jam and preservatives at the table. Toast order is taken white/brown/gluten free or a mixture. Full fried breakfast order is taken from a massive choice on the menu. First day I had a fried breakfast and second day I had Eggs benedict. Both breakfasts cooked to perfection and I ate every bit of them. Service from staff was fantastic and all needs catered for. I would definitely recommend the stay. I will be returning again to the Beachfield Hotel.

What a lovely hotel we booked the premier sea view room and my goodness we were not disappointed. Very clean if I had one criticism it would be that for me the bed was way too hard. Amazing choice for breakfast too.

Just arrived and secured a single room less than 50 quid, that's OK. The room was strange had a few stairs, but fine. The young fella that appeared to be about the only employee informed me the hotel was almost full, ergo, no upgrade. Did not see very many other guests. The young fella was the reception person / bartender / waiter, in fact, apart from the cook, that's it for staff. I did have a few beers, only one on tap????? strange for a large British hotel. Supper, one had a two hour window to get in. This I did and ordered lamb shanks, now being from Canada, I had seen this on many menu's, thus I tried it. I see now this stringy morsel is part of the lower leg. Pass next time, could not pick a desert I wanted, so I opted for the cheese / cracker board, had a nice blue and an aged cheddar.... very nice. Good British breakfast, hot and fresh, exellent coffee. Very happy. Parking............... very limited. Breakfast was good, the usual.
