This was our first time in Pensacola and the Boutique La Mar was the perfect choice to stay. The location is fantastic, directly under the Old Town walls. Less than 3 minutes walk into the Old Town or to the new town and the beach. The hotel itself is very nice. The rooms are on the small side but very comfortable. Some shelves or more storage space would be great but ok for a shortish stay. The bathroom was very nice with a great shower, but not very well designed, as the water from the shower ran out into the bedroom and the bathroom door was warped as a result. The roof terrace is lovely and has a great view over the beach and the new town. Breakfast costs 12 euros extra pp per day, and was ok but not great value in our opinion. They use a menu system rather than a buffet and it never changed, so got a bit boring after a while. A serve-yourself buffet would be a lot better in our opinion, so that all one would need to order would be the hot (eggs) options. We didn't use the restaurant for lunch or dinner, as the prices seemed very high. The staff were good, but with the exception of Martin (the manager?) and Joel (at breakfast) could have been friendlier, even if they didn't actually mean it. All in all I would recommend the Boutique La Mar, especially for the location.
