Ke Rensia Private Pool Villas Gili Air

Wir haben den Aufenthalt nach einer Nacht abgebrochen und die Unterkunft gewechselt. Beschreibung und Fotos des Anbieters stimmen nicht mit den Gegebenheiten vor Ort überein. Es gibt keinen nutzbaren Aussenpool. Das Restaurant gab es auch nicht. Die Küche ist sehr schmutzig. Für das Frühstück haben sie zwei Stunden gebraucht und der Cappuccino war heisses Wasser mit Milch, untrinkbar. Der Pool beim Zimmer ist eher eine 2m Badewanne umgeben von Betonmauern auf engstem Raum, man kommt sich vor wie in einem Käfig bei 30 Grad und hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit ohne ein Lüftchen Wind. Sobald man auf die Straße geht ist es erstmal sehr staubig und schmutzig und vermüllt bis man zu den anderen Straßen kommt. Die Ausstattung ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und alt. Die Dusche tröpfelt nur ohne richtiges Wasser, entweder fehlender Druck oder komplett verkalkt. Es gab Ungeziefer und Schmutzränder im Bad. Von wegen Villa, es ist eine Absteige. Auch die Zusage des Personals, nach Abbruch, dass sie uns wegen Erstattung der Kosten per WhatsApp nachträglich kontaktieren, ist bis heute nicht erfolgt. Wir waren heilfroh, dass wir kurzfristig eine richtige Villa mit privatem Pool auf der Insel gefunden hatten. Wir raten dringend von der Buchung dieses Hotels ab, auch nicht für die Hälfte des Preises.

A clean, calm, and comfortable oasis at the island’s center — my five days here were thoroughly enjoyable.

The villas are quite nice and it’s a decent place to stay for a couple of nights. Breakfast is pretty good, the dumplings are much better. There are no mosquito nets or repellents so be prepared to buy some, as they WILL get in (the bathroom is especially vulnerable as it is open-air. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The reception area is full of flies, so they need to invest in a fly trap. The mosque is very close by and it will wake you during the night, at least once or twice. Invest in earplugs and use their fountain outside to help drown out the noise (helps but isn’t sufficient to keep you from waking during prayer times). Location wise it’s fine. The island is very small so it’s easy to get around. They don’t offer bikes but walking everywhere is easy (but beware the horse and carts and children / toddlers on electric scooters). Overall it’s fine but if you’re there for more than a day or two I’d suggest looking elsewhere as there’s no option to chill at the hotel (no pool etc) and the Gili Air beaches are pretty bad.

We had the family room (2 bedroom) due to availability even though we were just 2 people. it was vastly better than the 1 bed that we’d saw next door as it had a huge outdoor area - for breakfast, lounging undercover if too hot in the sun or to avoid rain. The plunge pool and seating area was a great hideaway for relaxing and enjoying the sun. Location is perfect, a short walk from all bars and beaches. We walked from the boat ramp rather than using the poor horses. It was short enough to carry a bag and wheel a suitcase (roads are sealed). We did the boat trips around the different island and were glad we chose Gili A - had the right mix of beach bars and food without the nightclub feel to places on Gili T. And was easy to avoid any of that scene if you do want just a peaceful getaway. Breakfast was included with a fresh juice and main course, and was really good. Drinking water was topped up regularly. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Loved our stay in Kerensia. A beautiful and immaculately clean villa, nice small pool, beautiful outside bathroom. A fridge, safe, drinking water, wifi, A/C, a ceiling fan, coffee/tea making facilities. The staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast is served to the villas. The hotel's restaurant (Lockdown) serves excellent food. Bikes are free for villa guests and a great way to get around. Nothing is far by foot either. A total bliss.
