The Hygge Hut - 1 Bed - Freshwest Beach Retreat

The location was brilliant and roughly 9 mins from freshwater west beach. The hut wasn’t great sadly. The towels were filthy, and there were huge spiders and cobwebs everywhere. The was also no hot running hot water in the kitchen or bathroom. The shower is electric so that was ok. The curtains all need a good wash. There was used tea bag wrappers and sugar sachets in the pot next to the kettle. And when we arrived, it said ‘welcome m and k’ on the chalk board - that wasn’t us! We didn’t call to ask them about the water, because I had no reception on my mobile, and we managed with the kettle thankfully. I can’t find a way to contact the place via email so I’d be grateful if they could contact me please. Overall, disappointing :-(

The hut was not clean , cobwebs & spiders hanging from the ceiling and fairy lights. Shower cubicle needs to have new silicone but does have an electric shower (warm water). Toilet seat not fitted correctly. No hot water facilities unless you boil a kettle. Bedding wasn’t the best. Double bed mattress needs replacing and sofa bed was again pretty uncomfortable. Cutlery,plates,cups and cooking facilities fine for heating up a quick snack. Outside area had a lot of salvaged wood nearby with nails & screws in it. Outside area & driveway was very muddy but looks like improvements are being carried out. Location perfect for visiting nearby Pembroke & Tenby, scenery spectacular and close to some lovely beaches. I would return if improvements were made .

A perfect little, no frills getaway! We had a lovely stay for a couple of nights. The location is perfect, being situated just 15 mins away from a few lovely beaches and just 55 mins from St. Davids. We are a family of 4 and the pull out mattress was pretty lumpy and uncomfortable but after a full day on the beach my son still managed a full nights sleep. Also, there were only two large spoons. It made eating breakfast cereal as a family...interesting, two of us used teaspoons :)
