TLDR; 2-star at best. Location is great, however everything else about the hotel falls very short of expectations this is especially true with the staff and food. We checked in for a 7 day stay in what we thought was to be a stay at a great hotel with 4-star level service and amenities. Can say that the entirety of our stay was an utter let down. Starting with the room itself. The water pressure in our shower was non existent. We could have had the same amount of pressure if we had filled a bucket of water and dumped it over our heads to bathe. The toiletries offered in the bathroom was not even what I’d describe as basic. The shampoo/body soap combo was the color and consistency of washing up liquid. If you enjoy watching tv in your room you’ll lose your patience quickly. Doesn’t matter the channel you choose the signal cuts out every few minutes and freezes then restarts. You’ll never watch more than a handful of minutes of a show before this cycle repeats itself. We travel often and we find it rather customary that regardless of the class of the hotel you can usually expect two things: complimentary water and coffee. Here you will be given two bottles of water the day of check in and then they are never replenished. Same for coffee. You have a coffee maker in the room but when you use the two capsules (we are two people staying 7 nights) they will charge you for more. Even 1-star establishments don’t do this! Now to housekeeping. About halfway through our stay we returned to our room to find that we didn’t receive any clean coffee cups and a cup of tea, which I had made 5 hours prior was still sitting out. We had to call the front desk to ask for clean cups only to have them send up the housekeeper to confront me in the room to say the tea was hot when she came in therefore she couldn’t clean the cup. This doesn’t explain why they couldn’t just give us two clean cups. However, when I pointed out the tea had been sitting there for about 2 hours before they had entered the room so there’s no way it could have been hot did we get an apology and new cups. Who sends a housekeeper to yell at a customer in their room! Lastly, towards the end of the stay housekeeping left a dirty cleaning rag in our room for us to discover upon our return. This brings us to the food offered by the hotel. There’s loads of mention about the restorative breakfast they offer. It is the same food every single day. It’s mostly all processed and premade food and the hot options are extremely limited. You can only get basic eggs and crepes. everything is self service including coffee, tea and juice. There was always a queue for the coffee and tea. I personally had the most off putting and bizarre interaction with one of the staff at the restaurant one morning. The gentleman came over as I was using the salt mill and literally physically took it out of my hands. Said nothing to me and walked away. He eventually returned with a different salt and pepper shaker but again did
