Well let’s start off saying this is definitely not a five star resort. But has many positive things about it, but also many negatives. Food is great here but can be very repetitive at the buffets with the same food appearing every night and every lunch time. Drinks are brilliant and cannot be complained about. The beach is beautiful and well kept, and as the hotel is a HUGE complex as it’s a village you will never be without a sun bed due to how long it is. The staff at the reception very friendly, and helped us numerous times with supplying us with mattress toppers as the mattresses are very uncomfortable and also supplying a mosquito plug for the room and a wheelchair. A very clean hotel with cleaners working hard as to the gardeners. Moving onto the negatives, as we went end of September going into the first week of October, everything was closing (as we expected) but we didnt expect them to close so much. One restaurant was open which was the olympia so everyone was crammed into one restaurant for evenings. Two al a cartes were open which we expected, but they were rushed, we had our starters pulled from beneath us to make way for our main course even though we was still eating which is totally unacceptable! Marina was the best al a carte with top class food. Bar at our swim up closed meaning we had no bar which was accessible nearby to would have to walk quite a distance for a drink despite paying extra for these facilities. Nobody told us they would be closing and not advertised to be closed either before booking unlike the restaurants was. To get clean towels you also then had to walk to the other end of the resort (baring in mind the resort is huge and we had a disabled person with us). Swim up pools are for people who have paid for them only and on ours room 1022 there was no signage in place therefore kids was jumping in and screaming who was not even in the swimup rooms, but has the bar and lifeguard was no longer on duty as they had closed up there was nobody to tell them. Whats the point in paying extra? Rooms very outdated, but very spacious, need to be ripped out and redone. Toilet flusher handle was hanging off, tiling in shower all cracked. Slowness of waiting on staff also an issue, but this is due to everyone being crammed into one restaurant so there is more people to serve. Bar staff stand around talking whilst we wait to be server drinks. Hotel has huge potential but just because the season is coming to an end you should still be giving at least 90% not 50% in efforts towards your guests. I do also think they prefer certain nationalities over others (thats how it comes across anyway). I will end of a high and say i did have a relaxing time here due to the fact the hotel was half empty and its in a beautiful location.
