Do not stay at this hotel! This is the worst hotel I have stayed in years, I would have to say it was disgusting and I feel totally duped by the ratings/reviews/photos on *********** and trip advisor. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. I can only image the positive reviews have been fake paid for ones as this hotel was shocking in every regard – cleanliness, professionalism, security, service, facilities, décor.(see photos) The room was old fashioned, dusty, had a musty smell and was unclean – I had to take anti allergy medication due to this There was a thick layer of dust and cobwebs on the TV shelf The carpet was old and stained The extra bedding/pillows was stored in the bottom of a very dusty cupboard The bathroom and toilet were absolutely tiny and the shower door and shower head were stained/mouldy The safe in the room was faulty Reception was at times left unmanned and when staffed were not very helpful The left luggage was an unlocked cupboard in the lobby (accessible by anyone who might walk into the unlocked and sometimes unmanned reception) The breakfast is very basic and at times people have to eat in the lobby as the breakfast room is so small The lift is the smallest lift I have ever seen and claustrophobic (you cannot fit two people and two cases in there) The staircase is winding and the steps very uneven, not suitable for anyone slightly unsteady on their feet The carpets in communal areas were old, musty and stained This is a prime example of greed and an uncaring attitude, taking the money based on demand and location and spending nothing on improving decades old furnishings and having staff who don’t care about the customers.

Could not ask for a better location. Minutes away from shopping, restaurants and gardens. Walked to the Louvre, Notre Dame, Opera house and took easy train ride to Eiffel tower and other sights. Was small room with very small shower stall, my wife who is 95 lbs did not have a problem but I am better than twice her size and would have liked a bigger room. Probably due to the age of the building which was several hundred years. Breakfast was croissants, baguettes, cheese, yogurt and coffee which was fine for us but others might be looking for something more encompassing. Value was fine considering the alternatives in the area.

This hotel was in the best location for a weekend break. It was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was superb, there was croissants, baguettes, cheeses and yogurt. The stairs could be challenging however there was a lift albeit a really small one. Only big enough for 3 people! Would definitely recommend. And the staff were super helpful. 👌

Very disappointed this year. I reserved and paid for the same twin room this year that I stayed in last year. Get here and they made me stay in the one room that was in the lobby!! Right next to the noisy luggage storage closet. I can hear everyone having breakfast and talking right outside my door!! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AS THEY WILL GIVE YOU A ROOM YOU DID NOT WANT INSTEAD OF THE ROOM YOU RESERVED.

We visited here at new year. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Naturally, this is smallish hotel as described but very nice for traveller base. There generally better breakfast included. If youre not looking for luxury, but nice place to have base and sleep, this is for you!

Charming, very well priced little hotel, in an excellent location on the left bank... very good for several metros and buses, near Shakespeare & Co, Notre Dame, cinemas, restaurants... everything you could want. And excellent breakfast and great staff.

Lovely hotel not far from the Gare de Lyon and very close to the Seine. Great location, and hotel is in a historic building and furnished with lovely antiques. Very friendly helpful staff, and excellent breakfast is provided. There is a narrow curving staircase to reach the rooms, and a tiny elevator (just big enough for 2 and 1 suitcase each) is available but not for the claustrophobic. The location was awesome and the price very reasonable.

Great location, less than 2 minutes walk from three metro stations (Cluny La Sorbonne on line 10, Saint-Michel et Odéon on line 4), direct access to CDG airport via RER B, 5-7 minutes walk to Notre Dame, 10 minutes for Jardin de Luxembourg and the Pantheon. Friendly and helpfull staff, good French breakfast, old (17th century) building which however exhibits an extremely small but functional elevator. The only downside: no refrigeraror/minibar in the rooms. Also, in our case, only one power outlet for three persons, plus a broken hair dryer.

Me and my son never slept the nights we stayed there because of the terrible noise impolite people caused ALL NIGHT LONG in the neighbouhood, shouting, screaming, laughing and disturbing us that much I got furious. Last night I called the reception at 3 am !! to learn how could they help us rest a little bit and solve this problem. No one answered. I was about to call the police. Moreover, room full of mosqitos. Poor breakfast and no choice.. Never seen such a narrow elevator, same for the staircase covered by old and filthy moquette. In no way the price we paid (almost 200€ per night) justifies the service. NO WAY, it’s a shame. The only positive note: the beds were confortable and some of the staff nice and gentle. But I do not reccomend this place.
