I am currently staying here overnight before my next flight and it has been a nightmare. First, after multiple requests to the hotel for shuttle service I stood in the rain for over 30 minutes waiting for someone to collect me. When I arrived, I spoke French, as I’ve been doing since I’m 13 years old, and the manager and his staff spoke English back, which I find completely rude. To which I told the manager and his response was to scream about ‘all you Americans’ and was frankly EXTREMELY threatening. I was given a room on the first floor which was overwhelmingly loud with traffic and trucks rumbling by. I went back down to the lobby to request another room and was given one on the upper floor which was quiet BUT I had no idea how any of the lights work ( I guess you put your card in a slot to activate them to which the manager told me ‘everyone knows’ except me... Then I wanted room service but couldn’t find any hotel information or menu, so I picked up the phone to call downstairs and the phone didn’t work! So I have to go back downstairs to request a menu (which strangely was printed out for me?) and was given another phone - which also doesn’t work. The woman at reception came up to take and bring my dinner order which was satisfactory but the amount of vodka that was supposedly to be made into a cocktail was laughable. I will go down to have breakfast shortly and will see how the experience plays out.
