Hotel Tahiti Nui

We had a brief experience at Hotel Tahiti Nui but it was good. We left a cruise ship at around 9a and chose this hotel because check in was at 1p (the earliest we could find). Many hotels allow an early check in (as does Hotel Tahiti Nui) but it is crazy expensive and was not worth it to us. When we arrived at the hotel, we were immediately checked in by a very friendly and sympathetic staff member. He helped us store our luggage and pointed out some of the common area amenities. We were initially a little way b/c the lobby restrooms are quite shabby as is the lobby furniture. We spent several hours walking the town and getting lunch; the hotel is well-located and very close to downtown shops and restaurants. We were actually given our room a bit early, which was very kind and much appreciated. To our delight, the room was not at all like the lobby. It was super clean, updated, and had a comfortable bed and balcony. We spent several relaxing hours there before heading to the airport for our evening flight. All in all, we were happy with the price we paid for 7 hours of comfort.

I only needed a two night stay so was trying to save money. Sheets in the room were dirty, bathroom shower had lots of mold, and breakfast was way too expense for food I did not recognize. Staff were quick to respond to sheets and issues and we stayed. But certainly would not recommendvor come back.

This place is very tired and needs a full makeover Not too far from the main ship and ferry terminal which is a plus Located on a busy noisy road in the not so nice end of town Pool looks a lot better & longer in picture than in reality Would not have picked it, but we had no choice as it was part of a cruise/airfare deal, so you get what you get

I booked a Seaview, paid and they said it does not exist , blamed ******* for misinformation. No refund for 2days stay or anything. When you arrive the but your luggage in a holding room with no cameras, when I went to get it upon ck in I had to move all the luggage to retrieve my own. No help. I could taken anyone's luggage. Unreal. No safe in the room as advertised. Only 1 plug in my junior suite at 220 only. My view was of the ghetto. They explained there only a 2 star. However on ever website it comes up as a 4 star. They will not let you ck in a minute before 1pm and then a line of 50 people stand for hours. The waiting lobby is packed and hot with pre and post cruisers waiting on bus pick ups. This place is NOTHING like the photos. The pool is a joke .

Stayed here as part of a package deal from Australia. We had paid to upgrade to a mountain view room on first night pre cruise as had read the reviews . Mountain view room is away from the main road so that is better as quiet compared to those rooms on the busy main rd. It was twin beds and although a couple, worth it. Large room but small fridge dirty inside and not very cold. No milk or mild powder provided but a kettle coffee sachets / tea bags. Pool is used for aqua aerobics with about 12 bikes sitting in the water so really had to move out of the pool for that . Post cruise supplier made a mistake and our junior suite room was cancelled by them so after cruise no room available but got upgraded to executive suite at no charge after pushed for help at reception. It was a 2 bedroom unit upstairs with shower and bath in 2nd. Third toilet downstairs and kitchen and dining table and sitting area and large balcony . Oven to heat up croissants tripped the lights but staff quick to respond. Hotel needs lots of restoration of paint and touching up of wooden beams and the wooden balcony chairs, concrete cracks noted on outside of building. Next door is petrol station with nice bakery items and drinks ect Also pizza place across the road but one further down on hotel side looked better with great deal. Cruise ship was short 6 min walk and not worth a taxi fare that others paid. Booked hotel restaurant as menu looked good but expensive as per Tahiti in general but waited ages to get recognised. Saw others sat down to order after us so walked out . Breakfast cheaper along promenade venues so went there rather. Booked an activity from reception but cheaper if book via internet. If looking for tropical experience then stay elsewhere on the water and rather head for the islands nearby,luckily we did a cruise.

The hotel was stunning and had the largest swimming pool I have ever seen. The rooms were large and comfortable. There were 4 restaurants at the hotel and all the meals were tasty. I would recommend the hotel but limit your stay in Pepe’ete since there is not very much sightseeing to do.
