The Reef House Adults Retreat

What an amazing hotel! As soon as we arrived we felt so relaxed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was light and airy and smelt delicious due to the little touches left by the staff. Food and drink were amazing, as were the Spa staff who made sure we left relaxed and rejuvenated. This was the ultimate romantic escape for couples wanting to connect and relax in the most beautiful setting that is Palm Cove! We can’t wait to return!

I absolutely could not fault my experience at The Reef House. Every last detail, every staff member, every in house experience, every meal, every sleep… everything was just perfect. I felt like the most important person there the whole stay. I highly recommend this resort for anyone wanting a magnificent luxe and relaxing getaway. I cannot wait to go back!

We loved it and have already booked for April 2025, so what I have to say needs to be kept in this context. It was disappointing that the mineral pool and jacuzzi were not working properly for all but our last day (of seven). The honesty bar had no sparkling wine the whole time we were there, so I drank a lot of prosecco from the bar, at a higher cost, and not always available late at night. However, it was delicious! We also found housekeeping times impossible to predict. We have learnt that you can let them know a time, and we will next year. Problem solved. Regardless, we loved it. The staff are amazing. You really get spoiled. The room was spotless and well maintained. It was one of the best facials I ever had at the spa. The food was delicious, and we loved the inclusions. We leave reluctantly and relaxed. We are very much looking forward to next year.

My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Reef House. The service was second to none with staff paying close attention to our individual needs. The bespoke inclusions, including the talks by Glen, Shaun and Sabine, were unique. The adults only environment, old world charm and relaxing vibes made made Reef House the perfect place to stay.

Everything about this place is sensational. You are treated like royalty from the moment you arrive, by staff that are really passionate about what they do. The location is beautiful, the food is great and the activities and inclusions feel never ending. We didn’t want to leave!!

The least good first. It was nice to get a welcoming drink. It would be better if we could have relaxed in an armchair after a long trip to savour it as we completed formalities. The late afternoon Brigadier’s punch and canapes, what might be called happy hour now, might possibly have worked better if there were more chairs available, in a more convivial setting. Works in progress. The flooring in the bar/undercover restaurant seemed to be in a permanent state of repair. It did not affect the main seating area but seemed a trip hazard for the waiting staff and was not a good look. The lift that served 3 floors and the basement car park had a problem with slow closing doors. This was due to be remedied but not during our stay which meant the waiting time for the lift was often quite long. Emergency plumbing work was being carried out on the upper floors. The noise of drilling and hammering was quite subdued for us on the ground floor but would have been annoying higher up. All the above points are minor but taken together amount to minus one star. The good stuff. The beds were large and very soft – ‘like lying on a giant marshmallow’. The pillows, one firm and one very soft, were also very comfortable. The only downside was removing the 5 large cushions from the bed every night. The Tranquility Pool was a little cold. I used it once for about half an hour. The Mineral Pool was comfortably warmer and was used nearly every day. Neither of the pools was ever crowded. The wine appreciation and cocktail mixology sessions are recommended. I am a novice at both and took away something from each. The staff. The jewel in the crown. A sullen waitress can suck the joy out of the day before it even starts. This will never happen a the Reef House. All the staff were cheerful, helpful and smiling all day and every day. Would I go again? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Yes again.

What an absolutely gorgeous place to call home for a week. Palm Cove is stunning, the Reef House staff are incredibly helpful & always have a smile! Breakfast juice is a hit and the food and cocktails are perfect. Do yourself a favour & stay longer than you planned!

Excellent cuisine, breakfast and dinner were great. The team at the hotel works perfectly. Good experience with possibility use bikes for lovely bike trips in the sorrounding of Palm Cove. Interesting wine course and interactive coctail classes as welll. Great place for relaxation.

Where to start because everything and everyone from check in to departure were wonderful. We are a “mature couple” who chose The Reef House to indulge and be pampered, to rest and rejuvenate and we did all of these things. From entering the hotel, the amazingly comfortable bed and fluffy pillows, the little extras in our Brigadier room overlooking the Infinity pool. The restaurant with views of the ocean and people promenading and the amazing breakfast, lunch around the pool, sorbet around the pool, canapés and punch before dinner and delicious dinners. Such a treat. This is a beautiful peaceful boutique hotel. All and more we were hoping for. The cherry on the cake for us were the staff. Professional, friendly, obliging, nothing too much trouble and caring. To wake up in this beautiful place and be pampered lifted your spirits and made your heart sing. A special mention for the breakfast crew who helped us with their always friendly smiling faces to welcome the new day. Cherie and Derek Holden
