Alamanda Palm Cove by Lancemore

Extremely kind and friendly staff, right be the beach and next to supermarket. Excellent areas on the bedroom. All perfect and highly recommended

After doing a fair bit of desktop research ahead of booking Alamanda, expectations were set very high. I can confidently say that these epectations were very confidently surpassed, in what I'd describe an exceptional Palm Cove stay. The staff at all times were genuinely welcoming and proactively helpful. The poolside apartment we were allocated (complimentary upgrade to a 2br) was ample in size, functionally smart and was cohesive to relaxation. The positioning of the hotel allows for a 1 minute walk to ridiculously picturesque beachfront, with the more immediate option being the relaxing and ultra family friendly main pool (1 of 3 pools). In between both is one of FNQs most beautiful restaurants with exquisite food, and offering the most amazing start or finish to the day. Additional trimmings included access to daily beach yoga, access to the exclusive Palm Cove Health Club, and we were even visited by a travelling zoo held in an outside undercover section of the hotel with fans and zooper doopers to keep the kids cool! Thank you for a marvelous stay, we miss you already but will be sure to be back!

Our travel agent suggested Alamanda and we are glad. We really liked the upgrade to a 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor. There is no elevator so lugging our suitcases up flights of stairs would have been doable but a pain. The next door convenience store offers food options and NuNu Restaurant, also on the property, had innovative and yummy food. I love swimming in the ocean & it’s not possible in Palm Cove -they are crocodiles & jelly fish- except in a netted area down the beach. The water is warm & there’s a life guard. This was a relaxing place to base from to visit the Great Barrier Reef & rainforest in the midst of our 3+ week Australia & New Zealand trip.I wish the 3 pools had more shade options but the loungers on the grassed area & on our deck offered options.
