Olympia Hotel

A return trip, with the family this year, and still a great little hidden gem of a hotel. With only 38 rooms and family run, it is exquisite. Nothing is too much trouble, service with a smile every minute of the day or night. Rooms are spacious and comfortable,, good AC in rooms , the breakfast and lunch snacks are delicious and a good selection of drinks available from the bar. Rooms are cleaned daily as are the hotel grounds, by a small army of dedicated staff. Ideally located for meals at The Old Square, only yards away, serving traditional Greek cuisine in a vibrant atmosphere. A huge stretch of beach with golden sand is a 10 minute walk through streets filled with every type of shop from fresh produce, souvenirs and high end boutiques. Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough, suitable for all ages, families and couples.

Fabulous family run hotel. Maria on reception was a really friendly person always greeted you with a smile. Helped us three girls with taxis and gave us advice on where to go. Demitri worked behind the bar and helped at breakfast (breakfast being fried eggs, baked beans, bacon etc as much as you want buffet style) also extremely helpful putting up our umbrellas and serving us drinks at the pool. (Large glass of wine very affordable!) The hotel was spotless rooms cleaned daily - air conditioning was amazing. As three women on hols the hotel felt very safe. Hotel only 5 minutes walk to the beach and many restaurants. Before I sign off I just want to thank Maria for being sooo lovely and Sam (Tesla man) for his lifts. Kind regards Marie x

Quite a difficult one this. There is an awful lot to like about this hotel, but also a few frustrating things too. First of all the good points. Super freindly staff, offered a free drink upon arrival too. Great shower, plenty hot water. Air conditioning. Safe. Free wifi which worked fabulously. Very clean, maid service every day, pool area and surroundings spottless Great sunbeds around pool and a couple of mezzanine areas to relax and enjoy the sun into the early evening. Bad points Not enough space/ equipment for S/C purposes, almost impossible to make even the simplist of breakfasts. Our room was top floor in the corner which got almost no sun at all as its northernly facing and set back from others blocking any sunlight we might have got. Also balconies too close together offering no private space. I realise this is a very personal thing but for us it made a huge impact to our holiday, which is a shame because I feel due to these negative reasons we would not use again. But as I opened with, otherwise this is a great little hotel.

Perfect place to stop staff are amazing and go above and beyond to make your staff a great one great location to beach and bars rooms were comfortable and breakfast was great snack bar was good manager and all his staff were very friendly Amazing staff the Olympia

Rooms are cleaned daily. Towels changed every 2/ 3 days. Unfortunately our bed linen was only changed once during an 11 night stay. It looked pretty grubby by the end of our stay. Kitchen sink broke (eroded plumbing issue) but was fixed promptly. Not sure what was going on with wire in bathroom, looked worrying but didn't cause us an issue. However, when around the hotel pool, did feel very much like being watched and a bit stifled. The list of don'ts was long, and a part English conversation between staff ended with ' I must be speaking another language". I'm guessing a rule had been broken....🤣 My advice would be to use the facilities at the nearby Anna hotel. Relaxed, fun and 3 lovely pools with no rule board !

Umm, the hotel is adequate the staff friendly and helpful, but no snack bar as advertised. The location isn’t great, surrounded by residential blocks of apartments, bins, cars, cats and dust and just not very clean looking. Our room - Well what can you say we were put in a room (4) at the back of the block, overlooking someone else’s patio with the main staircase right beside us so we had to put up with everyone walking past, someone’s kid bouncing a ball down the steps & entering our outside area every few minutes and never seeing the sun. Inside wasn’t any better you couldn’t swing a cat in it, to open the wardrobe doors you had to move the bed. It was poorly equipped, a couple of cups, glasses, plates and a few pots & pans, nothing matched it was all very old & didn’t look particularly clean. The upside was it had great air con & a lovely modern shower room. My biggest moan would be that it was booked through Jet2 and they certainly don’t show photos of the room we were allocated !!
