Three Palms

I stayed at this property when it was a guest house back in 2010. I loved being 10 mins from the shops, train station and bus station and 5 mins from the seafront, but far enough away from any noise at night. The property has recently changed ownership and is now a hotel with new owners Tom and Rosie. They were wonderful during my stay and nothing was too much trouble. I had a double room on the ground floor. It was spacious, very clean and had everything I needed. There were plenty of supplies to refresh the tea and coffee tray and I had miniature toiletries in the bathroom. They have only recently started doing breakfast so this is extra on top of your room price. I felt that it was well worth the money and it was more convenient for me to eat in the hotel and then start my day out rather than trying to find a cafe. The price for a full english plus toast, cereal, fresh fruit, croissants/pastries, juices and tea/coffee was £12 a day. While there I ate most evenings in the Hyde Dendy family-friendly pub on the seafront near the cinema and their meals were lovely and very reasonably priced. There is also a Wetherspoon pub and plenty of fish and chip places. I visited Torquay and got the ferry to Brixham (£6 for a single 30 min crossing). I ate that evening in a lovely fish and chip restaurant in Brixham. Both places have lots of shops to keep you busy if the weather fails. Burridges cafe in the harbour area of Torquay does a wonderful Devon cream tea. I visited Teignmouth by train which has shops, cafes, a park (with a kids play area) and a pier with arcades. On my last full day I headed to Babbacombe to visit the Bygones attraction (old objects, a recreation of a Victorian street with shop fronts, model railway and old penny arcades). After this I visited the model village (one of the largest in the country) which sits just behind Bygones and is set on many levels (very steep paths). The models had changed quite a bit in 15 years and they have a new indoor section. Halfway round you get a free game of crazy golf. Both Bygones and the model village have a coffee shop and a gift shop and the one at Bygones also does lovely cream teas.

Excellent choice! I stayed here with family for the air show for two nights and it was great for location, the rooms were very clean and tidy and good facilities within the room. Andy and Tracy were great hosts very polite and friendly and Andy was very welcoming on arrival and helped with the my fathers case to the room. There is also parking right outside the front door with easy access in and out of town. The only downside which isn't really as there are nice little cafes just a stone throw away is that they don't or as of yet offer breakfast. I look forward to staying again on my travels by myself or again with family/friends

What a fantastic hotel! Andy and Tracey couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant, they man the bar in the evenings. I was delighted to see that there was availability at such a well rated hotel. The stellar reviews are all justified. The room raye was very reasonable. It was very comfortable, clean, with ample space and a good bathroom. The location is brilliant, just a very short walk to the beach and the town. Parking is easy. I literally cannot fault the stay.

Stayed at Three Palms as a group of 5, had a great stay location of the property is perfect short walk to the main street, harbour and seafront/pier. Andy the owner is very friendly and makes you feel very welcome, rooms were very clean and on each level there is toilet rolls, coffee, tea bags etc for you to collect whenever you need a top up. Parking at the front and back of the property we never struggled to get a space. Andy wasnt serving breakfast when we stayed so the price was dropped but we didnt struggle as there is plenty of places close by to get breakfast. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this b&b. Kayleigh & Family x

Really disappointed on arrival we booked this b & b on the basics of having breakfast on arrival we got told there not supplying breakfast at the moment but I can recommend some places which is good for breakfast . Room was tiny bed was very uncomfortable and to top things off we had a emergency to deal with back at home we did not even or got offered the money back for the next night so paying £130 for 1 night in the end , I know it's not there though nor was it ours bit just a little gesture goes a long way

We spent two nights at the at The Three Palms, a great little find. Andy the owner was very welcoming & very helpful, really nice guy. Great location, a short walk to the shops, restaurants, beach and pier. We would definitely stay again.
