Wildehondekloof Game Lodge

Our family was looking for a tranquil nature breakaway without sacrificing comfort and style, and this is exactly what the lodge offered. The house was very neat and modern and the service was impeccable! Delicious food, Nyalas grazing on our doorstep, and the game drive was our highlight! Even with a little rain, the guide kept driving patiently to give us a first-class experience of game-watching. I think as South Africans, we can sometimes feel estranged at lodges catering for tourists, but at Wildehondekloof we were all treated like royalty! We will certainly visit again and recommend it to everyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Were with four friends and had a wonderfull time at the Wildehondekloof. Everybody of the staff was very very kind. The rooms were amazing beautifull and complete. Opening your curtains in the morning and to see the Antilope's on directly before your window. The gamedrive's were amazing good (Quentin) Spectaculair drives and beautifull sunset! The breakfast, lunch and diners were excellent. We had only one problem. Our stay was to short (only 2 nights)

The hospitality at Wildehondekloof is nothing short of exceptional. The staff's genuine warmth and attentiveness make you feel instantly at home, creating an atmosphere of effortless relaxation. Each meal is thoughtfully prepared to complement the serene ambiance of Wildehondekloof. A highlight of our stay was the game drive, a breathtaking journey through the reserve’s diverse landscapes. As we traversed the rugged terrain, we were treated to spectacular views that stretched across the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange and gold. The sight of nature in all its glory, almost untouched and full of life was nothing short of mesmerizing. We have been on many game drives but the drive through the valleys at Wildehondekloof will forever be one of our most memorable. The views over the area and the mountains are utterly stunning, capturing the raw, unspoiled beauty of the South African wilderness. Watching the sun dip below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the landscape, was a moment of pure magic. Wildehondekloof is a place where tranquility meets luxury and the warmth of exceptional hospitality.

What a wonderful experience. Location was marvellous. Lodge and rooms were delightful, food great, and staff were professional and very discrete. Game drive and morning walk were informative and fun. Will definitely be returning soon!!

We stayed in this lodge for three nights with two couples. We really liked it. The service was above expectations and the game drive delivered what we expected. Due to the bad weather, the main road to the lodge was closed, so we had to take a detour. The staff guided us to the main road. And all without us having to ask.
