Palm Court Motel

It’s an average hotel, clean but lacking in ambiance. Fridge is loud and also if you get a room near the stairs, you will hear people going up and down. Good enough for a night or two while passing through town but if you’re looking for more ambiance, then I would suggest elsewhere

I stayed in a one bedroom room for two nights. The room was large, clean and the bed comfortable. I did not find there to be any problem with road noise as some reviews mentioned. The kitchen was well equipped with a stove top and supplies however one of the other rooms set off the main fire alarm while cooking and who I think were the owners had to come to shut it off. I did not smell anything burning and just surmised that their alarms are super sensitive. Because of this, I was reluctant to use their stove so I just made some simple meals during my stay without the use of the stove top. I had an issue with their shower. The tub had two faucets, one ran hot water and the other cold. I could not figure out how to get the shower running though. There was some handle by the shower head that would not budge when I tried to activate it. It was quite late and I did not want to bother the owners so I just drew a bath instead. None of the other 10 hotels I stayed at in New Zealand had a shower/tub set up like this, so thankfully it does not appear to be the norm.

I stayed here for one night in April 2022. The motel is well located on the main street opposite Countdown, and just a few minutes' walk from the main shops and restaurants. The room was large and clean, and the wifi worked very well. The bathroom and kitchen had the usual amenities. There is on-site parking. I'll stay here again if revisiting Otorohanga.

We often stay at the palm court when we have family gatherings in Otorohanga. Every time I notice the cleanliness, the nice little touches and the comfortable rooms. We always have great service too, all for a very reasonable price. Easy walking distance to the Main Street and a lot of the town.

My family of 5 (mum, dad and 3 kids) stayed here for one night during our north island holiday adventure. We were very impressed with all aspects of our room and the service we received. The beds were very comfortable, and the little bit of extra effort into styling the rooms didn't go unnoticed. Would happily stay here again and highly recommend!

Posto carino e pulito, in buona posizione per la visita alle glow worm caves. Noi venivamo da Hobbiton, quindi strategicamente sulla strada. Dotato di bollitore, caffè liofilizzato e latte. Ottimo per una notte. Wi-fi gratuito e qualora se ne volesse usufruire, tavolino e due sedie sul retro.
