What a great little pub , very friendly, nice to just chill out. the food smelled nice but we did nt eat only had a drink . There’s a car park just accross the way . lovely walk in behind it to ossmington mill waterfall , very muddy today so wear walking boots with good grip.

The ambience is lovely. Staff really friendly. Beautiful pub. We had Sunday lunch. The vegetables really tasty. However had to pay extras for cauliflower cheese. Portions just aboit right but what ruined it was the meat. We chose beef but it was so tough we had difficulty cutting it let along chewing it. Food came out within 2 mins of ordering so felt a bit rushed. Would visit again as its a lovely pub in a beautiful setting but steer clear of the beef, certainly wasn't a good quality bit of meat!

Horrifying prices - £12.50 for a glass of wine! Such a shame as location, atmosphere and staff all fantastic. Didn't eat as was bankrupt by wine so can't comment on that front. I think they are taking advantage of their location. Wouldn't come back.

We came here following a recommendation from a friend. They visited a couple of weeks ago on a weekend. We visited on a Tuesday. The roasted cauliflower was fridge cold, pastry soggy, roasted potatoes winkled. I’m guessing the chef has Tuesday off for working the weekend and the microwave takes over. It wouldn’t be so bad if the price reflected the meal but it’s very expensive. Drinks were good.

Great meal as always, wonderful to see our server Rafa again she really knows how to look after her customers other waitresses could learn a lot from her 👍 we had the the fish & chips absolutely delicious wonderful pub set in a beautiful setting

Do not waste your money and eat at the Smugglers Inn. The food was mostly dreadful and was very overpriced for what we received. One meal was pretty much cold and the 'small plate' Sunday roast I ordered for my son was practically the same price as the main meal. The staff are overworked, dont appear to care and the business is just interested in taking as much money as possible. Will not be returning and wish I'd paid attention to the other countless bad reviews. Really disappointed!

Came for my birthday meal cool pub with lots of character the food is good though tad pricey. There is a nice outside area with views of the sea and Portland. The service is s tad slow but I suppose it was busy and being such a seasonal pub they must go through staff

We are on holiday from Kent and The Smugglers was recommended to us by a friend who had visited before. What a lovely place and surroundings. We had a lovely lunch of sweet potato and chickpea curry, club sandwich and then the cheeseboard to share. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch whilst on holiday.

Imagine a lovely country pub nestling in a garden full of flowers, a trickling stream, breeze in the treetops. The South West Coast path passing through the garden making it an ideal place for hikers to enjoy a refreshing (though expensive) beer. What could be nicer? Just one thing... get rid of the dreadful piped music that drowns out the tricking stream, the birdsong and the wind in the willows. Surely Hall and Woodhouse is above this disturbing trend to have background music very much in the foreground? Spoiled an otherwise destination pub for us. We certainly won't be making the 25mile journey any more.
