Our stay at this Ritz-Carlton was very disappointing and did not reflect the standards expected from the brand. While the property itself has potential, several issues made the experience feel far from premium, especially at this price point. Many basic services came with unnecessary extra charges — including late check-out and even access to the spa and sauna, which were surprisingly limited despite being paid extras. Basic amenities like skincare items weren’t provided unless requested, and room essentials like shopping bags were missing. Worse, the staff often seemed unfamiliar with hotel policies — they told us breakfast wasn’t included despite Club Lounge access, which was confusing and frustrating. Food allergy handling was poor: instead of offering an alternative, they simply removed the item, leaving one guest without food during afternoon tea. The Club Lounge was particularly underwhelming. The service was very slow, the alcohol selection was shockingly low for a luxury hotel (with cheaper options than even a standard bar), and the staff didn’t even know the cocktail menu — guests were expected to guide the bartender.
To be fair, some staff did try to make things better, and we appreciated those efforts. However, the overall experience — especially when considering the price paid, the quality of service, the limited lounge offerings, and the minimal amenities — still falls far short of what should be expected at this level. Few intentions can’t make up for a lack of consistency and true luxury service at that price point. Management needs to seriously reflect on these issues to ensure future guests receive the quality that the Ritz-Carlton name promises.
