Au Club Alpin

We came to dine at a beautiful restaurant with a view of the lake. The service was terrible. The restaurant was empty. When we asked about the status of our food, we were spoken to rudely, and without checking, they told us we could cancel the order. When we requested to cancel, the food arrived after 40 minutes. In conclusion, the service was terrible, and the food was mediocre.

10/10. It is a lovely hotel but the staff really make a difference. We were doing the TMB and arrived at the end of day 4 looking awful. The front of house staff checked us in promptly and as we planned to leave very early the next morning (there was a heatwave) she secured us extra breakfast items and left them with the restaurant staff for us to pick up. We really appreciated that thank you! The restaurant served delicious and incentive food, and didn't make us feel awkward although we didn't 'dress up' nicely since we only had comfortable hiking gear. The spa is also lovely with fantastic views of the mountains and we healed our sore muscles before heading off the next day. Would love to come back to this hotel another time when we are not doing the TMB!

We decided to splurge halfway through hiking the TMB and stay at AU Club Alpin. The location was beautiful, amenities and food were top notch, and loved all the *extra* details that were provided during our stay. We booked the package including half board - this included a welcome drink, 3+ course dinner, and breakfast. All the food was delicious and dinner was beautifully presented. While our room was on the small side, loved the coffee bar setup, availability of fruit and teas in the room, and free soft drinks in the minibar. The bathroom was also very nicely setup. Additionally, my husband and I got a HUGE kick out of the wooden toothbrushes engraved with our names! Extra and totally unnecessary? Yes. Very fun and unique? Definitely. Checked out the spa setup in the morning before we headed out on our hike - they set it up very nicely with seamless indoor / outdoor connection and the infinity hot tub had super powerful jets which were appreciated on Day 5 of hiking. The only comment I would have is that the fitness section of the spa should open prior to 10 AM -- it would have been great to wake up and have ability to stretch / grab a yoga mat in the morning before breakfast. Overall, we only wish we could have stayed there more than one night. Was the ultimate spot for disconnecting and relaxing in upscale surroundings.

Superbe endroit, très au calme. Les chambres sont modernes, propres et très bien équipées. Service de qualité. Le spa est sympathique quoique un peu petit, cela reste un plus. Le restaurant est clairement un atout (et une expérience culinaire !) à ne rater sous aucun prétexte.

J’ai réservé cette table en ayant bcp d’attentes. Je viens à Champex depuis de nombreuses années et je suis venue plusieurs fois boire un verre et manger un dessert sur la terrasse. J’ai été à chaque fois déçue, tant du service (longue attente alors qu’il y avait peu de monde) ou dessert vraiment quelquonque pour un prix élevé. Par contre, pour le restaurant c’est une autre histoire. Nous avons très bien mangé, un dessert (autour de la pêche) fabuleux. Un très chouette service,avec un personnel fort agréable. Un beurre et une huile d’olive goûtue. Des mets avec de jolies surprises en bouche. Nous avons passé une belle soirée, merci

Journée au spa suivie du repas au restaurant Très belle expérience L’endroit est magnifique et parfait pour se relaxer Le spa est sympa, le cadre est parfait. Le restaurant est incroyable, les plats sont magnifiques et délicieux. L’accueil et le service sont autant à la hauteur.
