Amar Mahal

This hotel is conveniently located near the Sri Ram Raja Temple and Betwa River. The hotel's design and architecture are commendable, reflecting tasteful construction. It stands out as one of the better hotels I have experienced. The garden and lawn within the premises are well-maintained, and the rooms are generally clean. The swimming pool is spacious and inviting. However, there are some areas that require attention. The paved footpath ***** the boundary wall has not been swept for several weeks, and the hedge ***** the boundary has not been trimmed, which creates an unfavorable first impression for guests. While the carved wooden furniture throughout the hotel is visually appealing, dust can be observed in the crevices and corners. Furthermore, the restaurant's food offerings need significant improvement in both variety and quality. Additionally, the drinks menu is rather limited.

What a nice place! Lovely room in a gorgeous building with very nice grounds. Restaurant provided great food—even when we didn’t want buffet, we were able to order excellent individual plates of fabulous vegetarian Indian food to fit our preferences. Laundry service was prompt and easy. Lovely flute player every morning. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This hotel is located on a peaceful road and the rooms do not get any road traffic noise. The hotel is built like a palace and the rooms are also decorated the same way. It has a decent sized swimming pool, a big lawn, a restaurant and the decoration, wall paintings are a feast to the eyes. The food at the restaurant is amazing. The ceiling of the restaurant is amazingly decorated.

Not your typical hotel. It is a traditional Indian style like palaces or temples. All one story with 2 courtyards, one with lovely landscaped garden and one with the large swimming pool. The rooms are spacious enough as are the bathrooms. Not luxurious in the modern sense, but totally charming with lovely covered walkways.

What a disappointment. The central part of the hotel is incredibly beautiful but sadly that’s where the positives end. Check in was unfriendly bordering on the disinterested. The floor of our bedroom was so dirty I wore shoes in the room. We stayed 3 nights and the same dirty plates from the wedding party in the hotel at the same time as us sat outside our room for the whole time we were there. Meals were awful. There was a big tour party at the same time as us and the dining room was like a zoo. The final straw was when my wife and I were sitting outside the room and hotel staff started throwing fruit from an upper floor window and we were surrounded by angry monkeys. The lady who was head of house keeping was very nice. We tried to speak with the manager on departure but they were too busy to speak with us. Dreadful experience
