We stayed at The Richland for 2 nights. There was a wedding there on the second night (about 150 people with a very loud band (up to 75dB loud!). We were told this two nights before we arrived. They assured us that the band would end at 10 PM, but the band played until 10:30, with the guests roaming the hallways up to 10:45PM. I’ve read that any noise above 70 dB is ‘disturbing’ and can attest to the fact that it made sleep impossible. It was duplicitous that the hotel did not tell us about the wedding until 2 days before our arrival - ensuring that we could not find an alternative place to stay. We travel a lot and this was our worst experience ever! Adding to the insult is that we later found out that this is a frequent occurrence (I.e., not telling unsuspecting people about a wedding until two nights before they were to check in). Not only that, but the wedding guests totally overwhelmed the space, leaving no room for other guests to sit outside and relax in the sun - or sit inside and read. This is also the worst review I have ever left about a travel experience.
